Aw, just DAMN!
I remember Kang. Loved the character; quintessential Klingon.
Ansara had a long and full life, bless him.

Sad to hear; but he had a long life. I always thought with his looks and voice, he should have been a bigger star. A few of the things I remember Michael Ansara for:
Law of the Plainsman, in which he played a western marshal who was an Indian
The Robe, as Judas Iscariot in one dramatic scene
Batman: The Animated Series as the voice of Mr. Freeze. Great voice work.

Though born in Syria, the name Ansara is Lebanese, and typically is Antiochan Orthodox Christian.
Ironically, being of medium skin tone and indefinite racial features paid off, as he has played several different tribes of Native American Indians, Indian Indians, Sikhs, Chinese, Russian, 3 different ethnic roles in a single series, Spanish, Indonesian, Greek, Egyptian, Hebrew, Babylonian, Italian, Moroccan, a “Technomage” in Babylon 5, a Klingon, and a Gothamite Dr. Fries “Freeze”.

Just saw him in a episode of High Chaparral early this morning. I was remarking to my wife earlier this week of how many of the stars we watched on TV in the 60’s and 70’s have passed.
