A baby, weighing 13.4 pounds and 57cm long, has been born naturally.
Jasleen, a baby girl, was born at University Hospital in Leipzig, Germany, on July 26, making her the country's largest-ever.
Stephen Lyttle, who tipped the scales at 16lb 5oz when born at Kempsey Hospital on January 26, 1963, is Australia's heaviest. The average weight of an Australian baby is 3.37kg, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

That article was not written very well, just piecemeal reports here and there of large babies....
Wow! I weighed 2 lbs 14 oz. when I was born over 50 years ago.
The doctor looks quite pleased. The nurse is thinking, “Fuggedaboutit!”
It was nine years ago. Life goes on. Somehow, I found another wonderful woman foolish enough to marry me.
But more and more Im seeing such nasty, hateful comments about women on FR. Sometimes we deserve it and Ill even join in when its warranted, but not over stuff like this.

This mother of 4 agrees with you.
If a young man - say, my son - asked me if he should buy “Playboy,” I would say, “No, it’s wrong. You should do better.” However, it’s not sick or abnormal, and I’m not going to fuss when nobody’s asked me.
This mother of 10 thinks some men maybe have reason to be concerned about the sufficiency of their equipment.
Sorry, but that is one ugly baby.
I’d like to see the parents
Thought I was the only one getting tired of it; thanks for your posts.
More than a few of us are noticing a trend.
Is this some kind of midwifery jargon?

Stay safe !
I don’t usually like to jump on men and publicly bash them, but in this case, LOL!
Thank you, too, Nea. I’m seeing a definite coarsening of attitude about women on this forum. Some of it is justified and I get it as militant feminism has wreaked havoc on our society, but so much of it is just really hostile to ALL women.
No, I don’t, either, but crude comments about mothers bring out the worst in me. I suggested to one fellow that maybe he’d still be able to find satisfaction in another man’s (ahem).
Speaking of militant feminism, you could take some of the posts from males on this forum, switch the genders, and it would sound exactly like militant feminism!
It also occurs to me that we need more women conservatives. The Dems used to have a saying, "When women vote, Democrats win." Well, if a Democrat woman ever came to this forum, she might very well see the woman-bashing and come to the conclusion that there really is a conservative "war on women"! We need to win more women to our side, not drive them away.
Just my opinion, of course. But it's very annoying to have to stay away from certain topics and to feel so often unwelcome here.
Double LOL! Don’t mess with TC and motherhood! :)
I definitely agree. It's driven a few good FReepers away over the years. I choose to stay and ignore a lot of it because I value FR on the whole, but sometimes things get to me...especially when I see a whole thread (not this thread) of meanness.
