title was too long:
Do I have to excerpt something so short??
You probably remember KTVUs royal eff up with reading obviously fake Asian names for the pilots of the Asiana crash. Names like Wi To Lo and Ho Lee Fuk.
It looks like a Korean news agency is having some fun at KTVUs expense. After the landing gear failure of the Southwest flight at LGA they showed this graphic with American pilot names Captain Kent Parker Wright, Co-Captain Wyatt Wooden Workman.
They even went as far as making up fake names for people to interview. Flight instructor Heywood U. Flye-Moore and skeptical passenger Macy Lawyers.
Well played Korean TV, well played.
Koreans are funny. Who knew?
ROR!!
Kent Parker Wright
Heee heee hee.. I get it
They aren’t on the excerpted list. You’re cool.
Then someone should post the pic, its funny
Part of Asian Culture is humor with word play and puns.
The screamibng PC lilly white liberals would have you believe all asians are as humourless and dull as they are.
They are hillariously wong...
thanks, bump
I watch a lot of Korean TV on the internet with subtitles and some references - of course - just fly right by me. I am sure a lot of our humor does the same thing in other countries.
Never forget Wong Wei ...
That plane needs a serious nosegear trim.
Not as funny as the original that KTVU aired . .
That’s so funny I raughed out roud.
Asian names can be funny to us as I am sure a lot of our stuff translate weird too.
I like a Korean show called “Running Man”. The cast of the show is...
Yoo Jae-Suk (like an Asian stereotype)
Ji Suk-Jin (Not really sure why he is on the show, lol)
Song Ji-Hyo (She might be a ho, but it’d be impolite to mention on a family show)
Kim Jong-Kook (don’t call him a kook, he’d go Sparta on you)
Lee Kwang-Soo (he’s... the tall one)
and two guys who go with nicknames Ha Ha and Gary
However, B+ for effort.
lol.
I saw a Korean show and just in passing, literally seconds on screen, was a sign that said “Rocker Room” instead of locker room. So, they know the r/l thing is funny to us english speakers.
This could lead to a whole new “news” sketch show somewhere
‘Twould appear that the Koreans know how to handle humor...and to dish it right back.
Love it.
They are a good deal more mature than our MSM.
And much, much more intelligent.
