The tip from my daughter is: ask for honey mustard at Jack in the Box to add to your chicken sandwich; the sauce works well with the fried patty.

I guess I figure, if you want better quality food, go to a sit down restaurant, or something other than a fast food chain place. Some “mom and pop” type places I know of serve excellent burgers, made with real beef, made to order. You have to wait a few minutes, but it’s pretty fast. And their prices are competitive with McDonald’s and Burger King.

The business model of chain fast food places does not lend itself to special orders, substitutions, etc.

Until the “this is for Trayvon” anger subsides, I am going to avoid fast food joints. Too much opportunity for peevish young folks to pull a Jesse Jackson.

Now I want an Arby’s. 2 Arby’s sauce, 1 Horsey sauce.

I eat something from a fast food place about once every five or ten years, so I’ll try to remember these suggestions.

I’ve been ordering my burgers without mayo or without mustard for a long time — they’re right, this ensures that they’re made fresh and you get a much better quality burger.

For fresh fries, order “no salt.”

I always customize just a little bit (usually ask for no onions cause I don’t like them raw) different so it’s fresh.

And I learned that Frisco trick a while back. LOL

I worked in fast food as a teen, and they do not keep their food under heat lamps for hours... at the end of one shift at closing time, i tried to buy the last Big Mac, but it had reached its maximum time limit under the heat lamp, and the mgr would not sell it to me... i would not let up so she finally just gave it to me... whatever didn’t sell by the time limit was tossed out...

I’ve been to a Sonic drive-in 3 times and will never go again.

I still haven’t eaten anything.

I refuse to go to fast food joints. I cook so much better than them. And I’m a male of the hungry kind.

Many of these “tips” are franchise dependent and won’t work everywhere.

For example, no way are the McDs going to change the egg type upon request around here.
