I guess I figure, if you want better quality food, go to a sit down restaurant, or something other than a fast food chain place. Some “mom and pop” type places I know of serve excellent burgers, made with real beef, made to order. You have to wait a few minutes, but it’s pretty fast. And their prices are competitive with McDonald’s and Burger King.

The business model of chain fast food places does not lend itself to special orders, substitutions, etc.

Now that I'm seeing $6-$7-$8 show up on their menues, we spending a few bucks more and getting a REAL dinner at the sit-down places. McD is still good for a couple of quickie $1 McDoubles when on the road though. If we have the time though, forget 'em.
