Need Help Finding A Decent mp3 Hosting Site (Vanity)
Posted on 07/18/2013 1:50:06 PM PDT by OneVike
OK, this will be short and to the point.
I am looking for a decent site that I can use to host some mp3s. I am willing to use a pay site, but only if it is worth it. preferably a site owned by conservatives, if any exist. If anyone knows of a decent site, I would appreciate a heads up.

Currently I use
imgur to host my pictures, and
YouTube and
Pop Modal to host my videos, but I up until now I have never needed a host for mp3s. Well now I do, and I would like some advice from the greatest collection of minds ever to grace the WWW.

Thanks, I’ll check it out.
Now seeings how it is free, what type of promise do they have that they will not share your information?

Interestingly, the first thing they advertise when going to their site, is their privacy promise to be safe.

I personally don’t like to “Share” my MP3’s. I don’t want to be accused of some kind of copyright infringement. I just bought a couple of external hard drives. One to use for listening, and the other as an offline backup.

These will be MP3s of my Sermons and Bible Teachings I want to share off my blog. So, unless God comes after me for copyright infringement, I think I’ll be safe from attacks.....LOL

I got a free 50GB account at Box.net. Dropbox gives you 5GB and Skydrive gives you 20GB, I think. They all work fine for mp3s, and allow you to share a link to them. Box lets you stream the mp3 using the link, not sure if the other 2 do that.

That is what I want to do, give the reader a chance to listen to the mp3 from my blog by streaming it.

Government Play. Oppps. I mean Google Play.
Free for as much as you can upload.

Whats the URL for Box.net? When I type http://box.net in I get sent to a site that is not a mp3 hosting site.

I don’t trust Google. Although I am hosting my blog on Google blogger, I plan on setting up a website separate from Google, and when I do I would rather not have mp3s I use hosted by Google.

LOL. I guess there are different kind of boxes on the internet. you need to go to www.box.com now, they changed it from box.net, although if you type www.box.net, you automatically get sent to box.com.

I just checked, and it’s showing that at www.box.com, you get a 5GB account for free. I got upgraded to 50GB by buying an HP Touchpad, and I have seen similar offers all over the place. Search around, and I bet you can find a way to get upgraded to 50GB.

Start using
PopModal
Start Using and sharing the site with all your conservative friends, because it is run by conservatives.
I currently use both YouTube & PopModal, because too many conservatives refuse to leave YouTube for PopModal so I have no choice but to keep my YouTube account.
