But if one is in Florida or planning on visiting Florida, what precautions should one take?
It should be noted that Sanford is on the Northeast side of Orlando, Florida.
Disney World is on the Southwest side of Orlando. Will that be far enough away so that innocent tourists will not become victims?
Will trouble spill over into other Florida cities/locales?
Troubling is that Obama is not trying to keep people from possibly rioting.
Seems like our president should be trying to keep the peace. The lives at stake are all people in the possible troubled areas. African-Americans may end up in jail or injured/shot. Other people (whites/hispanics) could also be victims.
I agree with both. I don’t see them as exclusive. I guess some LIVs need to government to tell them to take the next breath.
The current testimony is that Trayyon Martin to leaning over Zimmmerman (laying on the ground) when he was shot.
It sounds like acquittal to me.
There is a difference in being prepared for something, and crying WOLF.
Disney World is close enough to where this occurred that there could be major problems.
In short, a word to the wise is sufficient.
Apologies for my initial harsh reply to this thread. Just tired of hand-wringing threads.
That is Good News!
KSC is no where near Orlando.Thats located on Merrit Island on the Atlantic Ocean just north of Coacoa Beach.
You should be very safe there.
Yep. I Work near Spri gfield, MA and try to avoid many parts of that city on a good day.
The Happiest Place on Earth! But come strapped.
Stay away from any street named Martin Luther King Blvd.
My niece is a nurse in Springfield. In fact, just the other day...at her son's birthday party...I had to read her the Riot Act regarding her walking to her car if she happens to be sent home from a shift late at night.I had to impress upon her the importance of having an escort for the walk to her car.
I quit going to Disney World 20 years ago. Too expensive, too gay friendly, too crowded. Nothing there worth my time or money.
Frankly, any urban downtown doesn’t sound really appealing if a Not Guilty verdict is announced.
As I type this, I’m looking nine floors below on to a street in downtown Minneapolis. With the kind of urban Amish we have here, the scene is right for something to happen.
It may not be large-scale or even sporadic rioting - but I couldn’t rule out the possibility of groups of urban Amish trying to, as they see it, “even the scroe” by randoml;y attacking whites.
This type of thing has happened in downtown Minneapolis before - and from what I’ve heard, is increasing. of course, our local media is soooo reluctant to report on stories like this.
That’s Cocoa Beach.
Family stops to get gas... Pump does not take credit card. Man stands in line to pay, and is beat up for being in the wrong neighborhood. The wife is also beat up for trying to help her husband as well as their daughter.

FBI may step in to help BRPD with gas station investigation
In my opinion, Chevron has egg on its face for allowing this to happen. Either close down your service stations or make it safe to gas up...
I seem to recall having read that,on a per capita basis,Memphis is one of the most violent medium size or large cities in the country.
What do Community Organizers do best?
Thats Cocoa Beach.
So it is.I appreciate your correction.
Now, if that case had been whites executing the hate crime, this would have been national news that made the headlines for days...
If there are riots, the buck stops with the Jug-Eared One.
NASA is nowhere near Orlando- its a hour ride straight east out to the coast..
