This is a strange analysis from someone who is usually pretty conservative. He is claiming some things that the prosecution isn’t even presenting. Even if what Savage is saying is true, I’m not sure how that changes what happened. Check it out:
On his show on, talk show host Michael Savage said that George Zimmerman, who is currently on trial for the murder of Trayvon Martin, should be found guilty of second-degree manslaughter based on two things: 1) The state of his firearm and 2) The language he allegedly used on a 911 call when he was first reporting his suspicions about Martin.
But first Savage explained why his insight should be valued over others in the media covering the trial.
“I’m about to break an analysis that no one yet in the media has done, as you would expect from me — being the senior member of the American media and possibly the most insightful,” Savage said. “And I have to blow my own horn because everyone else tries to break my horn.”
Screw Weiner.

I think he is charged with second degree murder, not manslaughter (and I don’t know if there is second degree manslaughter).
They’ve overcharged him, manslaughter might have been sustainable, 2nd degree murder is a stretch.
Not sure what trial you are watching, but watching this one is painful. The state has not even come close to proving the charge.
They may bamboozle the jury with a ton of crap, but they haven’t come close to proving their case.
Savage is a moron. I started ignoring him awhile back.
Thanks, and looking at it again reaffirms my opinion that it make more sense than Savage.

Certain segments of society will point to this as ‘proof’ that an acquittal was a gross injustice and retribution is warranted.

I told you where to find it. He said Zimmerman is charged with manslaughter. Savage is not the only one with his head up his ass.
Sounds like a loudmouth. His reasoning leads him to say Zimmerman shouldn’t have been as prepared as he was to defend himself, and should rather have further risked his own death or more serious injuries than he’s already had.
I never really listened to Savage before, and after this I won’t be seeking to listen to him again. Savage ends this by saying that he’s able to hear what’s otherwise inaudible (so we’re to take this on faith I guess): Zimmerman saying ‘f*ing coons’, and that’s why Zimmerman must be found guilty. Does that sound like a well-reasoned conservative to anyone here? What has Savage said about ‘creepy ass cracker’ utterances in his show? I’d have to compare his opinions regarding both, if Zimmerman even said that to the 911 operator.

Yeah, no doubt. There was a good post earlier on another related thread here where someone brought up the idea that TM had a duty to retreat and not confront. Gee, what a novel idea... don’t act like a thug and you won’t get treated like one.
