This is a strange analysis from someone who is usually pretty conservative. He is claiming some things that the prosecution isnt even presenting. Even if what Savage is saying is true, Im not sure how that changes what happened. Check it out:
On his show on, talk show host Michael Savage said that George Zimmerman, who is currently on trial for the murder of Trayvon Martin, should be found guilty of second-degree manslaughter based on two things: 1) The state of his firearm and 2) The language he allegedly used on a 911 call when he was first reporting his suspicions about Martin.
But first Savage explained why his insight should be valued over others in the media covering the trial.
Im about to break an analysis that no one yet in the media has done, as you would expect from me being the senior member of the American media and possibly the most insightful, Savage said. And I have to blow my own horn because everyone else tries to break my horn.
I’m an epidemiologist!
He needs to change his meds up...
“Savage claims here, only one minute into this, that Zimmerman is guilty of what hes charged withmanslaughter.
Zimmerman is NOT charged with manslaughter, hes charged with 2nd degree murder.”

I listened to the audio closely and he does not say anything relating to Z being “charged” with manslaughter.
He says,”you have to find this man guilty of 2nd degree manslaughter” He doesn’t say he was charged with that offense.
Again. Speaking as a Prosecutor of 25 years. Watching on television is neigh unto meaningless. It is about as much like being on the jury and listening as it is like going to Disneyland. You can NOT reach any reasonable conclusions even if you watch it all.
I have zero idea what will happen, but I have found that juries, even in cases I lost, rend to try and do their best and the right thing.
It seems Savage has a problem with a White-Hispanic-Jew
David Horowitz also seems to be getting his information on this case from Nancy Grace
Zimmerman was carrying a Kel Tec semi-automatic 9mm handgun, Savage said. So? Big deal. It is a big deal because he had a bullet chambered in the gun and he had the safety off Had he not chambered a round prior to meeting Trayvon, and had he not taken the safety off, even if Trayvon, during the altercation even if Trayvon had tried to grab the gun away from Zimmerman had that gun not been chambered with a round and safety off, Trayvon Martin would have had to use two hands. You cant do it with one hand.
The safety was not off, the safety is an intentional pull of the trigger by design as stated in the manual for the weapon under consideration here, namely a Kel-Tec PF-9 9mm semi-automatic pistol. That's what you moron Savage!
From the manual for the gun:
SAFETY
To achieve highest operator safety, combined with ease of handling, the pistol is "DOUBLE ACTION ONLY". It has no manual safety and the hammer is never fully cocked. The hammer is of a novel design. Compared to a conventional hammer, the pistol is very light and consequently, operates at high velocities. It is driven by a special free floating extension spring. Furthermore, the hammer's mass is concentrated around its axis giving an inertia in the critical direction of the firing pin close to zero. In its ready position the hammer is securely held by the hammer block. Only by deliberately pulling the trigger can the hammer block be disengaged. The tilting action of the barrel excludes firing unless the breech is fully locked. A direct blow to the hammer is impossible, as it is enclosed by the slide and grip. The hammer's energy is transmitted to the primer through a low mass firing pin.

This is exactly why I don't listen to this blowhard anymore...
Born in the Bronx; currently lives in California. He got his doctorate from UC Berkeley in “Nutritional Ethnomedicine”, whatever that is, so occasionally he likes to brag that he’s a “doctor”.
Savage has lost his frickin mind and should just STFU lest he remove ALL doubt about his lack of intelligence and current mental state. Maybe he’s having early dementia or Alzeimers-related mind problems. Or maybe somebody slipped him the kool aid when he wasn’t paying attention.
Where is the picture of a rabbit with a pancake on it’s head, because that makes more sense than Savage.
Yes, David Horowitz showed his true colors....he has lost this conservative fan.
Yeah, that’s like saying you have a degree in parapsychology.
I thought the crack epidemic was over in radio. Obviously not.
i am from the Bay Area and have always thought MS to be an ass... but i also think poor Zimmerman will be found guilty... not for the reasons MS thinks so...
Savage is an idiot. He always was an idiot, but it’s becoming more obvious in his old age.
See post 26 regarding the firearm. Aside from which, if a firearm isn’t in usable condition, it’s not much good in an emergency. There are far better clubs.
I stopped listening to Savage when he made the maximum allowable contribution to Jerry Brown. Whenever he comes on, I turn to another station.
How dare you sully Venkman’s reputation.
Savage is a loudmouth idiot with a microphone. He can’t talk to anyone who disagrees with him even one percent without screaming at them and calling them names.
It seems to have slipped Savages mind that an attempted murder was in progress and Zimmerman prevented it.
Savage should read the story of actress Natasha Richardson. One bump on the head while skiing and a couple hours later - after initially thinking she was OK - she was dead.
ANY injury to the head, ESPECIALLY on cement, is life threatening! This is a clear attempt on someones life - seen by a witness by the way - only the attempted murder FAILED when it met the 2nd amendment!
