Whether this latest scandal gets "resolved" or not, the cat is out of the bag - NONE of our private information is private. And with increasingly intricate and advanced technologies emerging, we can only expect the situation to get much, MUCH worse. They just won't tell us the next time, and simply "disappear" anyone who quits his classified government job.
I've always suspected that we would eventually have to again embrace low-tech methods of communication to combat government fascism such as we're now seeing. Notes in archaic or obscure languages, codes and other unsuspected methods are going to, out of necessity, come back into use by true, constitutional Americans. It will be inefficient, but will give us good practice for when the entire networked infrastructure completely collapses.
“using as much cash as you can for day to day purchases.”
Also... when checking out, don’t provide the store’s card that gives a discount. You’ll pay a little more, but you won’t be in the computer system.
Maybe it's time for me to learn Navajo.

if you use your card for gas..they know where you are..and can go from there...narrows the field. Using card for groceries they can tell if you have children, pets, health issues etc. by what you buy ..stores list all your items now.
They'll just send Predators with Hellfire missiles and let Allah sort it out.
Lol. Use Craig’s list? I thought we were going no tech? I won’t because the thought of going back to filling out checks for bills is not appealing. Plus no Internet for Free Republic? How would we manage that?
>>>LOL. Using HF and Greek would virtually guarantee you a spot in the NSA archives. They have listening posts all over the world and on most Navy ships.
The NSA spend most of their time on 14.313 Mhz
My wife saw an ad for the “National Consumer Panel” and signed up for it thinking it was a way to earn money in her spare time. They (Nielsen and IRi) sent her a scanner with a keyboard. The instructions said that *anyone* in the household who bought *anything*, even for cash, had to scan the items and enter a price and where they bought them, info about who they were shopping with, etc. Unbelievable. And they didn’t really offer money for it either. I sent the thing back and told them where they could shove it.
Uh, what did you say...? :)

Wack-jobs, jammers, and a crazy Canadian.
We’ll have to learn some Gene Hackman Enemy of the State type stuff then.
I’m sure it will go unnoticed. :)
Make sure your screen name is Don’t Tread on Me.
we need to go HIGHER tech.
They'll usually let you use a phone number so just give them the number of a neighbor you don't care if you screw with his privacy. You'll get the best price and it poisons their database with incorrect information where just refusing does not.
My Facebook says I am from some remote town in Russia....
Already there. I have this puter at work... and thats it.
And I love it. People want me they can come to the woods and find me.
