Is it Time for All Good Americans to go Low Tech Once Again?
Self | 06/17/13 | fwdude

Whether this latest scandal gets "resolved" or not, the cat is out of the bag - NONE of our private information is private. And with increasingly intricate and advanced technologies emerging, we can only expect the situation to get much, MUCH worse. They just won't tell us the next time, and simply "disappear" anyone who quits his classified government job.

I've always suspected that we would eventually have to again embrace low-tech methods of communication to combat government fascism such as we're now seeing. Notes in archaic or obscure languages, codes and other unsuspected methods are going to, out of necessity, come back into use by true, constitutional Americans. It will be inefficient, but will give us good practice for when the entire networked infrastructure completely collapses.

Frank Sinatra is my favorite singer, AC/DC my favorite group and Black Sabbath is also up there as a favorite. One thing all three have in common is they have their own sound and because of that their music never ages.

I must say... I just rewatched both new Sabbath videos and I must say I was truly AMAZED how they keep their sound and the quality.

Anybody who’s ever been to an Ozzie concert cannot ignore how many “God Bless You”s you hear during a show. Unfortunately, I think Obama has put this nation and world in such a dire situation that this music is going to come back. In fact, that’s how I thought about Black Sabbath so quickly after reading the title of this thread: “Is it Time for All Good Americans to go Low Tech Once Again?”

I think the gay, happy days are here again dance tunes are about to go wherever the flower music and disco now rest.

NONE of our private information is private.

Which you would have known if you had bothered to read and comprehend the user agreements you freely entered into.

I have Sinatra’s Greatest Hits, AC/DC was the last concert I went to, and I also dig some Sabbath. I think you’re right about darker music coming back. Music is usually an indicator of the current times.

P.S. Disco is in Hell where it belongs.

LOL. Using HF and Greek would virtually guarantee you a spot in the NSA archives. They have listening posts all over the world and on most Navy ships.

This from a book excerpt written by a retired Master Chief:

NSGA AUGSBURG, Federal Republic of Germany
September 1978 to September 1980

"The Operations Building at Gablingen was incredibly huge. We had military and civilian personnel from Germany, Canada, France, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand and the US. Each of the doors to the different sections had a national flag on it letting you know if you could go in there. Almost all had a US flag but very few had French or Belgium flags. The intercept capabilities here were almost unlimited. Over 200 Air Force linguists were stationed here and eavesdropped on Soviet, East German, Polish, Czech and Yugoslavian fighters, bombers and command and control centers. I think they recorded every word said by any eastern pilot.

If you go some where pay in cash and they won't know your where abouts.

They'll use facial recognition and scan local stores near your home. You might get by with it today but maybe not next week, next month but definitely not by next year if this keeps up (which it will).

A friend had a turkey farm so we’d get all the eggs that didn’t pass the candle test. They might have tasted a little bit stronger than chicken eggs but I never noticed. Guess I was used to them. The yolks were more orange-y yellow than chicken yolks but I suspect that was from the feed. Many were double yolked but that didn’t matter. If you let them get old and dry out, the insides will stick to one side so they wobble when you roll them across the floor. Turkey shells are stronger than chicken so they don’t break as easily.

I’ll start by reading Claire Wolfe. She has thought about it more deeply and longer than some others.

>>We are ALL John Smith!!!

“We are all Joseph K.” might be more appropriate.

LOL. Using HF and Greek would virtually guarantee you a spot in the NSA archives. They have listening posts all over the world and on most Navy ships.

Yet even with a trillion dollars in tax paid government communication monitoring apparatus, the government completely failed to detect unsophisticated Muslim terrorists, who had to use Walmart chicken cooker bombs.

It’s pretty easy to learn, I think.

Lots of English-speaking teachers.

Plus, our cuss-words just sound wonderful. That’s fine motivation.

Well, plus it’s the language of Obama’s ultimate enemies, at least according to the IRS.

Might as well just jump into the underground with both feet.

Did someone call for a low-tech? Try the following. It’s a test for low-techs.

http://www.openbsd.org/

Then build one of these.

$2K Solar Space + Water Heating — One Simple DIY System
http://www.builditsolar.com/Projects/SpaceHeating/DHWplusSpace/Main.htm

And do an engine or transmission swap and at least one house build (all, including electrical work, plumbing, PV solar power plant, mechanical, etc.—all to codes).

Do those or equivalent projects successfully, and you may enter.
