President Obama has said the outrage over the federal governments decision to monitor citizens phone activity is all hype.
He might want to share his opinion with the Air Force, which is ordering members of the service not to look at news stories about it.
WND has received an unclassified NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) that warns airmen not to look at news stories related to the data-mining scandal.
The notice applies to users of the Air Force NIPRNET (Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network), which is the only way that many troops stationed overseas and on bases in the U.S. are able to access the Internet.

The problem is that every time an unclassified government computer visits a site displaying the TS slides it is considered a spillage of classified material and the computer must be cleaned.
Is following their oaths of office that hard for them? Since when did loyalty to pay overshadow loyalty to Nation?
Take note of who gives orders like these, American Enemies within.
Obama has committed massive acts of sedition and treason, and should be reviled as such.
Any USAF "leader" who defends this behavior by subsequently going on the attack against those who read about his treason is no different than the democrats conducting the treason.
They are showing their true colors by acting like this, and it's dangerous. These same "leaders" no doubt are the ones who attack military personnel for praying and going to church.
If Obama decides to go the way of Nicolae Ceaucescu, and open fire on the American people for defying Obama....
These "leaders" will be the ones giving the order to fire. Keep their names public, as they are certainly noteworthy.
How stupid is this??? So, they have skilled people looking over well-known public websites with hundreds of thousands of hits and calling them “classified”?
I thought that out goal was to have the most knowledgeable, well-informed, “situationally aware” military in the world...apparently not to be as aware as my aunt.
Obama clearly wants something like the North Korean Air Force (where they kiss his ring and swear loyalty like a bunch of toadies), not the United States Air Force.
His "leaders" are behaving as such.
Repressive regimes usually make sure only the most loyal to the regime get to fly over it.
One can only imagine what the Marines think about all of these current revelations, corruption and scandals.
Simple solution. Use lasers to burn the retina of all our soldiers, then no one has to worry about what they read.
I would hope there is one at least congressional oversight committee to look into this and expose to the public all military personal responsible for such egregious dictates.
I was told by my U.S. Army instructors that the specialness of the Marines was “99% eyewash”. But it was still the service I was interested in joining considering where that was coming from. It may be better there, but I can’t speak to it, because I’m not one, and never became one. I can’t imagine they’d be unaffected by what’s happened to the rest of our military. But maybe Marines on here could speak to that. I’d hate to think the Marines my uncle, my cousins, and neighbor were are extinct. Hopefully there are Oath Keepers everywhere.
Well, I certainly hope the Marines are still allowed to read and understand current events. It’s clear that the USAF “leaders” won’t tolerate their people finding out what the hell is going on.
What members of our military need to understand about Obama is that he will pull a Benghazi on them in a heartbeat. It pays to know your real enemy. Get all the information you can.
If he betrayed and allowed the murder of our 4 Americans in Benghazi, he sure as hell doesn't give a rat's @ss about other brave Americans overseas.
For those not following this reply. NIPER net is the military unclassified unclassified network and SIPER net is the classified network. The SIPER net and the NIPER net do not touch each other for spillage reasons.
