~Welcome To Sunday At Amy's Place~
Colorado Columbines
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.... Psalm 121:1-3

Show And Tell
June 2, 2013
If you take a course on writing or attend a writers conference, youll likely hear the phrase, Show, dont tell. In other words, show your readers what is happening, dont just tell them. Dont tell readers what you did; describe doing it.
One of the reasons we tend to tell rather than show is that its easier and faster. Showing how to do something requires time and effort. In teaching, its easier to tell students whats wrong with what they did than to show them how to do it right. The latter, however, is more effective.
For thousands of years, the Jewish people had only the law telling them what to do and what not to do. But then came Jesus Christ, who showed them how to live the life God had been telling them about all along. Jesus didnt just say, Be humble; He humbled Himself (Phil. 2:8). He didnt just say, Forgive others; He forgave us (Col. 3:13). He didnt just say, Love God and your neighbors; He demonstrated love by His actions (John 15:12).
Christs perfect example of love shows how great Gods love is for us and how we are to show His love to others.
Bless the Lord for love victorious,
Love that conquered on the tree;
For His grace so great and glorious
Flowing out from Calvary. Peterson
Love is Gods will in action.

Oh, thank you for the kind words, Meg.
I love your columbines - I planted many, when I lived in Colorado.
This morning, when I was walking Shanah,
I heard the most beautiful bird singing...
I looked up in the evergreen, and there was the most magnificent male cardinal.
And, across the yard, in another tree, was his companion, returning his song!

Thank you, yorkie..Columbines are lovely indeed.
I’m so glad you have Cardinals..This time of year I have one pair..in winter as many as 6 pair.
They love sunflower seeds..They have adjusted to my tube feeder well though they prefer ground or tray feeders.
Raccoons broke my clear plastic squirrel deterrent dome..Sigh..It worked..The raccoons unhooked from the tree limb.. the whole thing crashed down on the concrete.. My tube feeder is almost indestructible thank goodness...
