Rattlesnake Logic
Now the news media will spend days trying to determine why these men did what they did in Boston. They will want to know what America did to make these brothers so angry with us. They will want to know why these men were not arrested before they did something unlawful. The media will be in a tizzy about the new era of home grown radicals and about how they could live among us and still hate us.
Here in west Texas, I have rattlesnakes on my place. I have killed a rattlesnake on the front porch. I have killed a rattlesnake on the back porch. I have killed rattlesnakes in the barn, in the shop and on the driveway. I kill every rattlesnake I encounter. I kill rattlesnakes because a rattlesnake will bite me and inflict me with poison. I dont stop to wonder why a rattlesnake will bite me. It will bite me because it is a rattlesnake and that is what rattlesnakes do. I dont try to reason with a rattlesnake I just kill it.
I dont try to get to know the rattlesnake better so that I can find a way to live with the rattlesnakes and convince them not to bite me . . . I just kill them. I dont quiz a rattlesnake to see it I can find out where the other snakes are because (a) it wont tell me (b) I already know that they live on my place. I just kill the rattlesnake and move on to the next one. I dont look for ways that I might be able to change the rattlesnake to a non-poisonous rat snake. I just kill it.
Oh, and on occasion I kill a rat snake, because I thought it was a rattlesnake at the time. Also, I know that for every rattlesnake that I kill, two more lurk out there. In my lifetime I will never be able to rid my place of rattlesnakes. Do I fear them? No! Do I respect what they can do to me? Yes! And because of that respect I give them their fair justice . . . I kill them!
Maybe as a country we should give more credit to the jihadist just being a rattlesnake! Jihadists are pretty honest in telling us we are infidels and they must kill us. Why do we have such a hard time believing them?
No reason to compare them to jihadists.
You might think that, if you live in New York, but those of us from out west don't see it that way at all.
I think they're just great on hats, belts, boots, and frying pans.
We’d like to deal with the rattlesnakes that way but around here the government has told is its illegal to kill them
Called a neighbor to help me deal with one by the porch
He teaches them tricks: lay down , roll over, play dead!
We’re considering going on the road. It’s circus time !
LOL.
Rattlesnakes just do what the Lord programmed them to do. They are neither good nor evil, they just are.
Jihadists, however, do what Satan programmed them to do. They are evil.
UNREAL!
"Ha ha, shut up, silly woman."
said that reptile with a grin.
"You knew darn well I was a snake
before you took me in."
Johnny Rivers
Out on the road there one time in Montana, a bunch of the boys were traveling in convoy in a couple of SUVs, when they came across a rattler that somebody had run over with a car. The poor creature was still alive and writhing, unable to move away from its mass of crushed internal organs. One of the guys thought it a good idea to put the creature out of its misery, but they were unsure how to approach it, as nobody had a side arm or a good solid club of any kind. But there was a length of log chain in one of the SUVs, with a snatch hook on the end.
So maybe if the end of the chain were swung around to get up a little inertia, and brought down on the snake’s head, it would be crushed, and its struggle would be over.
So Larry, in best rodeo fashion, started by swinging the chain around and around over his head, and launched the end with the snatch hook at the snake’s head. Only, he miscalculated a liiitttllle bit, and in a deft application of the laws of physics, the snatch hook caught the trunk of the creature a little back of the head, pulling the writhing front part of the snake up loose of the ground, sending the head with its opened fangs almost directly at Larry’s face. Fortunately, both the end of the chain and the flying part of the snake shot past Larry’s head, landing in the ditch, where by unanimous vote, it was deemed best to allow the creature to die without further molestation from us.
And no, we hadn’t even been drinking. But on reconsideration, maybe we should have just kept driving back and forth on the remains of the snake until we were satisfied it no longer posed a threat to curious and incautious human beings.
Dayum, I hate snakes.
Very Well Said, thank you for the Ping Mesta!
Yeah, you got to put up with me until penelopesire gets over her wedding stuff.
As my FIL told one of his grandchildren who kept a pet snake, “You may think he [the snake] is looking at you with adoring eyes but he’s just wondering what you taste like.”
Applies to most Muslims as well. My FIL would have likely agreed. He also taught me, “When you see a snake and a Muslim in the road, first kill the Muslim.”
While we’re on the subject, does anyone know if .38 special snake shot is effective when used in a snub nose?
I am glad Penelope chose you to handle her pings while she is away, She Couldn't have made a Better Choice!
Reminds me of the book my wife got me last Christmas: How to tell if your cat is plotting to kill you. Very humorous.
What’s the difference between a dead muslim and a dead snake, lying on the road?
The snake has skidmarks in front of it.
Perfect.
Because so many in our gov either receive $ from Mozlems or are Mozlems themselves. And lefitsts have affinity with Mozlems becuase of their common hatred of all that is good about our country.
As a fellow west Texan I too have to deal with rattlesnakes. Seems I have a small den of them in an old systern that borders my property and they tend to wander back and forth denning up in Winter and wandering out in the Spring. I only kill them when I find them in the yard. If they are across the road or in the field I live and let live but not too close. And I caint hear them as well as I use to.
