A Florida man accidentally shot himself in the leg while bowling Tuesday night.
The man was at the bowling lanes in Jupiter, Fla., and witnesses told WPBF the ball likely hit the man's leg during his back swing.
At first, some people at the bowling alley thought it was a firecracker going off.
Witnesses say the man limped back to his seat clutching his leg.
He was taken to hospital as a precaution, but his injuries weren't expected to be life-threatening.
The man's identity wasn't released.

They’ve gone to great lengths to protect the identity of the guy....
Figuring off-duty cop or wrong race to publish.

OK, but what kind of weapon goes off when you ping it with a bowling ball? Glock, I'd guess. No external safeties. Maybe a modified trigger job.

Next up: Pelosi and Reid will demand:
Mandatory background checks for all bowlers
A ban on felons bowling
A three day waiting period for bowling shoes
A ban on all lanes that hold more than 7 pins
Pins can only be hit one at a time (no semi-automatic bowling)
Registration of all bowling balls
All new bowling balls must record the fingerprints of anyone bowling with it (sensors in the holes)
Schools, churches, bars, stadiums and public transportation will all be bowling ball-free zones.
Bowling balls must be stored locked so no children can accidentally bowl with them
Remember, we must stop this senseless violence caused by bowling balls and bowlers who abuse them. We will not sleep until we can be assured that our children are safe from bowling deaths.

Glocks do not have hammers.
This is quite strange. No modern gun should be discharging from being hit like that.
I wish we knew more. This gun should be investigated.
I’d really like to know about this gun.

A glock isn’t going to go off unless you pull the trigger and teh last time I checked a bowling ball doesn’t have fingers.
I’d guess a cheap gun of the variety that fires when you drop it.

Other accounts have the gun in his pocket and call it a revolver. For what that’s worth.
NAA .22 revolver?
