They’re entitled. Why waste time standing around with a bunch of toothless miscreants and peasants?
That’s pretty cold on the part of the people paying out but, at the same time... those crippled kids are making over a thousand dollers A DAY to ride amusement park rides at Disney World. If ever there was a victimless crime...
First World Problems.
This is crazy
I went there and used their new ‘speed pass’ line system (you get a card, and show up at that time for that ride) and it was fine- never waited more than a few minutes.
It is an incredible system- and it seems to work. You pick a ride you want to go on, and grab a speed pass ticket (i dont know what the real name is)
It tells you what time to show up for that ride. It is pretty cool- if you grab a bunch for different rides, it will not let you get them all at the same time- the computer algorithm must be pretty good.
Only went their once with my kids- probably will NOT go back, but they enjoyed it.
Back in my younger days, I noticed Disney assigned wheelchairs to disabled guests and allowed them access to the front of lines. I remarked to my wife that one could feign a disability and experience the park in record time. I guess everything eventually will happen.
Seems like a win win. The handicapped great a great high paying job. What’s the complaint?
When I visited DW Florida last fall, I was astounded at the number of folks riding electric scooters. Most were because of obesity rather than a true “handicap” it appeared.
The biggest hassle is when they board the buses. It takes forever to jockey them on, offboard the person, strap it down, etc.
I’ll bet these guys work off the books, so they continue to get full disability support from the government as well.
I’ve seen it. Seems like a decent trade off. The disabled person makes some good loot for a day and goes an a trip they otherwise wouldn’t be able to.
I’ve joked about doing this for many years....
People I told never seemed to think much of the idea.
In India, a lot of beggars will rent handicapped kids to sit with them increase their daily intake.
It does work though. The last time I was in Disney World, one of my buddies was legitimately in a wheelchair and we got to the front of every line.
They are stupid. You can just pay for a tour.
It’s a couple hundred a day. And yes, it’s worth every penny.
never understood how the truly disabled can ride some of those rides.
Disney should let anyone who claims to be disabled, cut in at the front of the line, just guarantee permanent disability for all of ‘em at the end of the ride.
Disney has some kind of program where you hire a guide and it helps you cut lines.,..diffferent than this one , of course
although officially they say you can’t cut lines with the guide or some such thing
$130 an hour for a disabled kid? Wouldn’t it be cheaper just to hire a fat guy with a scooter?
“who hired a disabled guide through Dream Tours Florida.”
Shouldn’t ‘we’ be more concerned about the TRAVEL AGENCY that does this AS A BUSINESS than the moms who have enough money to afford the service ?
It’s not like it said anywhere that these moms go out and find handicapped people.
I suppose I shouldn’t be laughing, but I am. Of course, I liked the idea of “Relationship Terminator” as a business ...
Exactly. This isn't just the "1%", as if they are some rich conservatives who Occupy Wall Street is protesting against. They are rich people from Manhattan, who are about 80% to 90% Limousine Liberals / Champagne Socialists. They love to tell everyone how they support the poor and downtrodden but the reality is that they abuse their staff and use the "little people" for their own comfort.
