That’s the opinion of Fehmi Kaya, head of the Health and Education Associations for Autistic Children in Adana, Turkey. Autistic children are atheists, he said, “due to a lack of a section for faith in their brains.”
From TimeTurk (English edition) 4/22/13:
“Autistic children do not know believing in God because they do not have a section of faith in their brains,” Kaya said, according to daily Milliyet.
Kaya said the underdevelopment of faith sections in the brain caused autistic children to not believe in God.
“That is why they don’t know how to pray, how to believe in God. It is needed to create awareness in these children through methods of therapy.”
Kaya added that autistic children should undergo treatment to “create areas of faith in their brain.”

Perhaps the smelliest bag of garbage I have ever heard. Coming from someone who has Asperger’s Syndrome and has come around a highly devoted Christian, to say the least. If anything, I would call the difficulties I had to struggle with easily something that helped me know God better.
Either way, people need to get off the stereotyping train, there’s subsets of autistics in just about every population group. Sounds like a sensationalist trying to go garner some attention.

No freakin clue. Faith is an action/choice. Feelings can be deceiving.
One of my best friend’s sons is autistic. He is also the most dedicated Christians you will ever meet.
Not our autistic son. He seems to have a good grasp of the concept of God and he also seems to have a very decently formed conscience. All we need to say is “God is watching” and he instantly reforms his behaviors ....
If that’s not faith, I don’t know what else is.
I truly fear for the future of my son as the muslim population grows in this country. Something tells me neither they or any of the other third worlders taking over are going to have much use or empathy towards people affected by autism, or others with special needs, for that matter.

Every year Autistic children attend of our various youth camps. I have yet to meet one that was an atheist. Not saying they don't exist just that there is neither correlation or causation with Autism.
Maybe they just see though mohammedanism?
