Tea Party Senators Prep for Immigration Battle (Lee, Rand and Cruz to oppose)
Breitbart ^ | 04/28/2013 | Matthew Boyle

Sens. Rand Paul (R-KY), Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) now each appear to be positioning themselves in the fight against the push for the “Gang of Eight” immigration bill in much the same way the Senate’s Tea Party triumvirate knocked down the left’s push for new gun control legislation.

The three are joining Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) in questioning every painstaking detail of the bill, and reframing the narrative that those in favor of the legislation have driven including the need for a “path to citizenship” for America’s at least 11 million illegal immigrants and that the bill is tough on securing the border. Together, the group is using every tool at its disposal in the Senate--public pressure, process disputes and aggressive oversight procedures, among others--to fight against the legislation.

What is this “path to ‘citizenship’”?

Is citizenship a requirement that the illegals must pursue? If so, it’s unconstitutional I think.

There’s a difference between a legal immigrant and an immigrant that has become a citizenship.

Sen. Paul must have read the hot emails he’s been receiving since he was sort of leaning toward the immigration bill.

I haven’t parsed all of Rand’s comments since this bill came out, but I believe Rand is in favor of some sort of immigration bill, but not this particular one. With all the noise, it has been hard to tell, but I think he recognizes that some sort of bill will likely pass, and that some aspects of immigration reform need to pass. He wants to pull it as far in the right direction as possible.

This article seems to back that he does not like this bill as presented.

The term “path to citizenship” scares me. This could be much worse than Amnesty.

Supposedly, the Rubio-Schumer plan kicks border enforcement down the road by about 5 years. Then, if Homeland hasn’t secured the border, a special commission gets formed.

By then, another 10 million or more illegals will be here.

“Path to Citizenship” will vary based on party affiliation, charitable donations, or education. Mark it..

“Citizenship” is a BIG step beyond “amnesty”.

They are right. This is not Amnesty, it’s far worse.

Who woulda thunk Rubio would be teaming up with the likes of John McCain, Chuck Schumer, Lindsey Graham and Barack Obama on something so destructive to our country. Hope Ted Cruz will take the lead at stopping this.

BTTT

Senator Session is the real hero here, along with Senator’s Cruz and Lee.

Senator Rand Paul has some explaining to do.

AMNESTY TWO ISSUES NEVER TOUCHED

ACTIVE FR’S IF YOU SEE ANY CREDITABLE REPORTS OF PROBLEMS AMERICAN CITIZENS ARE HAVING WHILE LIVING IN MEXICO PLEASE POST THEM.....

(1) When is the treatment of American citizens in Mexico and their rights vs US treatment of Mexicans going to be an issue when we discuss amnesty ? And two other questions US legislators should ask

Here are three questions:that has yet to appear on any US legislator’s questionaire from either chamber

ASK YOUR FEDERAL LEGISLATORS WHY THEY HAVEN’T

Issue One

!...Should Mexican citizens when in the US be given the same rights American citizens are given while in Mexico? .......If any American enters Mexico illegally they’re fined heavily and thrown back, legally they’re 2nd class never mind able to vote in their elections.

2.. The Mexican government through public statements and educational system lays claims to major portions or all to some of our southwestern states as part of the Mexican nation . Are we asking for trouble by granting their illegals an expressed path to our citizenship laying the groundwork for “squatters rights” at some future date ?

3... If it is deemed necessary to supplement the US labor force by allowing itinerant labor should the individual states make the determiniation as to the number should the offer being needed ? And should that offer not be restricted simply to Mexican nationals but to other central and south American countries as well ?

Issue 2

What makes it necessary for US to subjugate our sovereignty because of available cheap labor ? While the Godless Demo-Coms socialists encourage population control and abortion . Then complain the US is not reproducing enough citizens to replace its aging retiring workforce. But rely on (as the Romans did) on foreigners (barbarians) .to keep their welfare ponzie schemes supplied with tax money and keep the system working.....

On the Mexican problem

Ever hear of reciprocal aggrements ? These are arranged to protect the rights of American citizens working or living in other countries.

Why is it when it comes to citizens of other countries we are required to offer them the same privledges as we do to US citizens? But when it comes to US citizens who get in trouble or attempt to do business in other countries they do not get the same treatment their citizens get.

Americans can’t own coast land in Mexico. And get no title to it elsewhere. If they run out of cash they’ll get unceremoniously sent back or put in jail untill some relative comes up with the “fresh”. That’s just for starters as for granting them voting privledges yea let’s give Mexican citizens that right when American citizens vote in their elections .

Some good analysis this morning of the bill here:

Schumer-Rubio Bill Amnesties
Illegal Aliens and Their Employers

WASHINGTON, DC (April 29, 2013) —– The “Gang of Eight” claims that its immigration bill does not provide amnesty for illegal immigrants. But an analysis of the legalization portion of the 844-page Senate proposal uncovers at least 11 amnesties for illegal aliens and their employers.

The report, by Ronald Mortensen, a Fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies, shows that the token penalties, when they do exist, are not commensurate with the employment-related felonies committed by the majority of illegal aliens, nor are they commensurate with the benefits received by illegal aliens. Just as unfortunate is the fact that millions of victims of these crimes are ignored while the amnestied illegals are rewarded and even benefit from the so-called penalties, as the monies actually go into a fund that provides services to the very people who paid the “penalties”.

“Illegal aliens will be rewarded for breaking laws for which American citizens are routinely punished,” said Mark Krikorian, Executive Director of the Center for Immigration Studies. “For example, an American citizen would face a maximum penalty of ten years in prison and fines of up to $250,000 for using a fraudulent Social Security card, but under this bill the illegal alien would face a $1,000 penalty covering all his many offenses, a penalty which in many cases will be waived. Then, they would be issued a new Social Security number without any past bad credit or arrest records.”

View the full report at: http://cis.org/immigration-reform-amnesty-illegal-aliens-and-their-employers

Dr. Mortensen discovered the following amnesties for illegal aliens and their employers:

Amnesties for Illegal Aliens

* Amnesty for the estimated 75 percent of illegal aliens committing Social Security fraud.
* Amnesty from returning to home countries for 10 years before adjusting status.
* Amnesty for illegal aliens committing Identity theft.
* Amnesty for illegal aliens by officially authorizing them to continue committing identity theft by using fraudulently obtained Social Security numbers belonging to American citizens.
* Amnesty for illegal aliens who have committed perjury on I-9 forms.
* De-Facto amnesty from the token $1,000 penalty, since it effectively pre-pays services provided to illegal aliens.
* Amnesty from existing exclusion, deportation, and removal orders.

While illegal aliens would be granted amnesty for crimes they have committed, government employees who discover Social Security fraud, identity theft, or perjury on I-9 forms while reviewing applications for provisional status would be prohibited from notifying victims, law enforcement, etc. with a threat of a $10,000 penalty. This is 10 times more than the $1,000 penalty paid by an illegal alien who has committed felony identity theft.

Amnesties for the Employers of Illegal Aliens

* Amnesty for employers found to have employed illegal aliens or who are currently employing illegal aliens. Moreover, employers may continue to employ illegal aliens, accept fraudulent Social Security numbers, and renew falsified I-9 forms for those who apply for provisional status.
* Amnesty for employers who did not withhold and/or submit payroll taxes for individuals illegally in the United States.
* Amnesty for employers who violated labor laws by paying unfair wages, who failed to pay wages, etc.
* Amnesty for employers who facilitated Social Security fraud and identity theft by providing or accepting false Social Security numbers.

While employers would be held harmless, government employees who find that employers violated the law while reviewing applications for temporary status would be prohibited from notifying the appropriate law enforcement authorities. If government employees do report tax or labor violations, they could face a fine of $10,000.

If you go to his web site you can read his thoughts on immigration reform. THEY HAVE NOT CHANGED ONE IOTA. Why do so called conservatives continue to bash one of the best and most effective conservative in the Senate? Jezz, I have been very supportive of Paul, I have also written him on immigration expressing my dislike of the gang of 8 bill. he seemed back in march to be going a little wobbly but only for a few days. The Marxists media put their spin on his remarks. We all know how that works.
