Damn I bet they really get worked up when a rancher brands his cattle, castrates the males, splits/crops the ears for marking, dehorns, etc.

Normal dog ID tattoos take about 15 seconds to do and don’t penetrate the skin near as deep as ‘real tattoos’.

Anybody who’s ever had a tattoo can tell you they hurt like a bitch for quite a while until they heal.
Years ago, before microchip implants were available, I used to tattoo ID numbers on pets for the purpose of returning them to their owners in the event they got lost. A guy called me up one day and wanted me to tattoo a swastika on his dog. He got an earful of some the most colorful language I’m capable of. I’ve been around and have quite a vocabulary that I can employ when circumstances warrant it. He was dead silent until I finished and then hung up on him.
Many vets tattoo female dogs who have had their tubes cut. As well, many breeders who enter their dogs into dog shows also tattoo their dogs. I do not quite understand the outrage. If he would not be a tattoo artist then I would understand the outrage.
Any man who is more concerned with his dog looking “cool” than the health and well-being of his dog is unworthy of his dog.
Period.
My family is from near there, I’ve seen this dog on local tv news. She’s well cared-for and quite happy. So, her people have poor judgement, do you think she cares? Leave her be, and that means leaving her people be.
I don’t want to set off the tatooed ladies, but the fad has become obsessive self mutilation and abuse. I saw a young man at the beach last week and the poor thing looked like he escaped a circus. It does not surprise me that they progress in their obsession to take their problem out on children and pets.
I knew as soon as I saw this title that it would be a Pit Bull type.
Just like I know almost all mass murders are white guys and all bombings are Moslems.
My Siamese cat had a tattoo when we bought her from a SPCA. They said it is common to tattoo the females that have been spayed. no big deal!
