Former Sex Pistol John Lydon says those now celebrating Margaret Thatcher’s death are “loathsome”.

John, famously known as Johnny Rotten when he was the singer in Punk icons The Sex Pistols back in the 1970s as Maggie was rising to power, added: “I’m not going to dance on her grave.”

He also said: “I was her enemy in her life, but I will not be her enemy in her death.” …

Punk is anti-establishment. She was the establishment to him, then. It’s the establishment now, that’s dancing on her grave.

Those who attack someone after they’re dead show what courage they lack

Even at 45, I love punk rock music. I just went to see Bad Religion a few weeks ago. NOFX is one of my favorites. I find it ironic these bands that laud everything socialistic have made a ton of money from capitalism.

Only nine-tenths? There is a tenth of the left that has principles and/or courage? I cannot agree with that at all.

It’s a weird world where John Lydon has become a symbol of restraint. He was really mellow when the Pistol’s old producer (whom Lydon had sued multiple times) died too.

Well, you’ve got to have a pretty “conservative” heart to appear to drink, drug, and FTW your way through life and come out on the other side wearing Prada (or driving a Prius, figuratively.)mNOFX really are the ultimate clowns when it comes to unalulterated non-stop US-Bashing while rakin’ in the greenbacks. You’ve gotta be pretty messed up to put Michael Moore’s name into your punk song.

All this talk is making me want to go out and kick some ass again.

(Or talk about it, which is pretty much all we ever did.)

So he somehow manages to be pro-life and pro-abortion at the same time in the interview. Or, he was trying not to seem pro-life, currying favor from the interviewer, and tap-dancing so as not to offend the intended audience.

I’ll take the song at its face value.
