How many times can Italy try someone?

until they get a guilty verdict, evidently.
She is innocent. The man who did this was tried, convicted, and sits in jail now. You should really educate yourself on this case before you make statements like this one.
I believe she is ‘not guilty’ as opposed to ‘innocent’. Innocence is never an issue, only guilt.
I believe she is both.
Among the various aspects of police misconduct:
She was not apprised of her rights, their law and ours.
She was interrogated without a lawyer present ... their right and ours.
She was not provided with an interpreter, their right and ours.
The chain of evidence was faulty, just like OJ's, their right and ours.
No matter what exactly happened, Foxy Knoxy would have eventually walked in the USA, just as she eventually walked in Italy.
However, Unlike our Supreme Court, the Eyetie version wants to go beyond the technicalities, to learn WTF actually happened. Did she and Rafe do it? Who knows? I bet they know one hell of a lot more than they told the cops! As for reviving this case, Italy has likely come under some pressure from EU partner The UK
Whether she did it or not is irrelevant. She was acquitted and cant be put on trial a 2nd time.
Well, she wasn't exactly acquitted as we might know that term, she was sort of their version of commuted and released. Of course to us, it's "Double Jeopardy." Of course, when an American gets in a foreign police jam-up with a dead body front and center, our rules don't really count much
BTW, what's with the "racism" on this thread. Substitute the "N-word" and see if how far that would fly. Embarrassing for the site, Mr. Moderator.
A college professor of mine said “wop” was the sound of a meatball falling onto linoleum as heard in the apartment below.
In this case she was found guilty and then a new trial acquitted. They are now ordering a third trial so the US standard that is violated is “double jeopardy”. Sort of like the Dems recounting ballots until they win.
I know of a number of Italian restaurants where you can buy wop salads. And I have Italian heritage friends who use the term in that way. Such is life. Google it if you don’t believe it. You may consider it a slur, but some Italians don’t. It depends on the context. Same as “yankee” which can be intended as a slur or not.
This is such BS. She is 100 percent not guilty. They already have the guy in prsion for this crime! Prosecutors should have their licenses revoked and their assets seized.
She is not guilty. They already have the guy in prison who did this. She may be a skank, but she is not a murderer.
Thats totally wrong. I am very familiar with this case. She is 100 percent not guilty. She was skanking out with her also innocent Italian hookup at the time Rudy committed this crome.
Knox has the most UNFAVORABLE press. Pictures of her at a museum and the pic of the bathroom with the luminol like protein spray were made to look like she was guilty. Printed lies in the European press, like the one about her cleaning or buying cleaning supplies, were repeated verbatim in the US press.
She may have been a scared, ignorant, pot smoking skank, but that does not make her a murderer. If anything, this case exposes how out of control the Italian prosecutors are; they should have their credentials revoked.
Hey i’m with you. I despise fraudsters coming in pretending they know more than everyone else and therefore their opinion counts for more than the rest of use.
There’s also this often insane need to side with the authorities as though they’re infallible.
She looks good in tight sweaters.
I understand prosecutors have a tough job and are part of the reasons we have guilty criminals behind bars. However, I have seen prosecutors repeatedly lie, hide/withhold evidence (Brady law violations), trash the reputations of cops and detectives, ignore exculpatory evidence, - all in the hopes of getting a conviction for personal, political, and racial reasons.
