Should the U.S. continue to make huge foreign aid payments while domestic programs face drastic budget cutbacks?
Yes its vitally important to continue foreign aid.
No its ridiculous to pour money into countries like Egypt while we cut aid programs here.
Maybe We need to some sort of a balance between foreign aid and domestic programs.

The referenced Fx News poll is an excellent example why I rant about Obama guard dog Fx News. More specifically, instead of conducting a public opinion poll about foreign aid, why doesn't Fx news note the following. Justice Joseph Story had indicated that Congress cannot use the General Welfare Clause (1.8.1) as an excuse to justify laying taxes in the name of foreign aid.
"If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles (emphases added)." --Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).
And noting that amending the Constitution to grant Congress the specific power to lay taxes for foreign aid purposes is one option, Fx News should really be discussing various ways that US citizens can send aid to foreign nations without federal government involvement, instead of conducting Constitution-ignoring polls concerning the issue.
