After a lifetime of being a Republican, I'm leaving the GOP and registering as a Democrat. Why? I've tried to change the GOP from within, wiht little luck, so I figure it's time I help to change the Democrat Party from within....
You CAN’T change the Democratic Party. It is what it is.
Why not join the Nazi party to change that from within?

If you live in a solidly blue state( eg. MD MA NY go for it. If you are in a purple state maybe, but if you live in a red state don’t do it.
Some smart guys on FR have concluded that the Dems have declared victory, and don’t even worry about Republicans anymore.
Which leads to eating their own.

You can also agree to show up to help at functions and either not go or go and be a boob and turn off democrat voters. Maybe not a bad idea.
You’d have better luck joining an Islamic mosque and trying to change that (Islam ) from within.
Democrats ALL of them are and always have been evil socialists. it is religion to them , their God is government and everything democrats do is to grow government power and at the same time reduce our rights and freedom. Name just a handful of democrat politicians ,or even one that has abolished ONE government agency , one tax, one government program , name one

I can’t see how a solitary individual doing this makes any sense. If millions did it, maybe. But you have to understand. The dems are in thrall to their hardcore left groups that support them with hard money. Gays, enviromentalist wackos, pacifists, Muslims, Communists, Socialists, Union thugs, reverse racists, illegals, radical “feminazis” etc etc.
You have nothing to offer them. They are not into “ideas” so much as they are into power and control, from the STATE (FEderales), over the lives of the “little people”, the great unwashed in flyover country.
But if it makes you feel better to believe you’re “doing something”, go jump into the pit.
I’m in Colorado, which is rapidly gone purple and heading blue. After the Democrats took control of our House, Senate, and Governor, it is getting bad. With the recent gun control votes and the inability of the GOP to do a darn thing about it, the only change I can see is to mess with the Democrats from within.... :)

I am afraid there is only one solution to the liberals, and that solution is being played out by the vastly increased sales of guns and ammo.
Things are highly non-linear, and we will soon have an abrupt change .
I do not agree with what is coming, but to paraphrase others, “Things that cannot go on...won’t.”
If it weren’t for Republicans, Democrats would have no tax revenue to show their compassion with.
I can’t complain. I openly encourage moderates to become democrats because that’s the party that needs moderating.
Leaving the Repubs to become a Democrat? Nowadays is there any difference?
I was thinking the nearly the same thing. Simple thought experiment, or political brainstorming session. But not sincere, Shirley.
So why NOT sabotage the party from within? Not with clear, concise thought processes but with civil disobedience? Become the face of the democrat party in your neighborhood but be a boob about it. They give you literature to hand out, you take it and throw it away. Someone asks you about the party, tell them the truth but be a jerk about it. Point your fingers a lot and maybe drool a little bit. If you have to make phone calls, well thats easy to mess up, wrong dates and times. Nothing illegal has to be done just show gross incompetence. Might be worth a try.
