Guilt is a depressing emotion. When participating in a deception of such magnitude; how discouraging and sad for Leah. She had little choice. Her father imposed this action upon her, as the elder daughter. Jacob was tricked, Rachel was pushed aside from a man that loved her, and had worked 7 years for her hand. Instead Jacob was fooled. Sad really. Still He loved Rachel and to agree to another 7 years of labor for her father.
Love is not forced, We all desire to be loved.
Forgive us Father we know not what we do; help us to be pleasing in thy sight, we love Thee LORD, in Jesus name amen.

I can’t guess the famous singer..but it is delicious irony.
I know it’s fun to get a Valentine from your student.
(((((Hugs and Blessings)))))
Goodnight, and God Bless.
We've also had a hummingbird flying around the neighborhood.
Refilled the hummingbird feeder with nectar. Hope he/she brings friends to the feeder.
y'all have a great weekend.
One of our grandson's is engaged in a wrestling tournament this weekend. He won two matches and lost one today. If he wins two tomorrow he will place third in his weight class at the division tournament up in Yuba City, CA. Next week he has another tournament at "The Masters" in a State Tournament down in the Los Angeles region.
We are cheering him on each day.
In 1962, John Glenn made history as the first American to orbit the Earth. As the rocket ascended, ground control said, Godspeed, John Glenn. Godspeed comes from the expression, May God prosper you.
Though we dont often hear this word today, the apostle John used it in his second epistle: If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him Godspeed (2 John 1:10 kjv).
John has been referred to as the apostle of love, so why would he warn believers against pronouncing a blessing on others? Traveling evangelists were dependent on the hospitality of Christians to provide them with room and board. John was telling the believers that biblical truth is important. If itinerant missionaries were not preaching doctrine consistent with apostolic teaching, believers were not to bless their work by providing lodging or financial assistance.
This is also true for believers today. We are to treat everyone with kindness because God is kind to us. But when asked to financially support an endeavor, its important to always ask Him for wisdom. The Spirit who guides us into truth (John 16:13) will show us when it is appropriate to bid Godspeed to those we encounter.
Read: 2 John 1:1-11
An important lesson for us...Thank you, Rus, for Our Daily Bread
I wish your grandson success today in his matches, Dave.
Hi Mama_Bear!
((((HUGS))))
Hi, ltos! Hugs backatcha!
If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him. 2 John 1:10”

What we really want is for God to give us exact daily instructions ... all of which are in the Holy Bible, yet we want precise events of our day. Many of us do not know our talent; And do not recognize the strength we have in a particular area.
God is with us, ... I often do not know what specifically I can do to please the LORD. Prayer works. We all are to ask God believing ... for what we need or hope to occur.
God bless America ... to restoration to our former faith and Christian values. Mormons come to our door, Jehovah Witnesses comes to our door, They are actively sharing the Holy Bible and I am caught on the dilemma of whether to wish them God Speed or not. It seems they both diverge from the translations of the Holy Bible as I know them. Mormons more so. The multitude of translations used by main stream churches and believers are somewhat moving away from the original texts. It is always explained by saying each translation is going back to the original Hebrew, Greek, or Aramaic.
LORD God be true and every man a liar, let us not be deceived. Help us to have understanding of Thy Word, in Jesus name, amen.

Wonderful - Hope you enjoy! I did!
The conductor of the orchestra is Andre Rieu from Holland.
The young lady, her trumpet and her rendition of TAPS makes your hair stand on end. Many of you may never have heard taps played in its entirety
For all of the men & women that have died for you to have the freedom you have in America.

Amazingly beautiful Melissa Venema, age 13, is the trumpet soloist. Here is Taps played in its entirety. The Original version of Taps was called Last Post, and was written by Daniel Butterfield in 1801. It was rather lengthy and formal, as you will hear in this clip, so in 1862 it was shortened to 24 notes and re-named Taps. Melissa Venema is playing it on a trumpet whereby the original was played on a bugle. Enjoy
