As a young male, I have to agree with this article. Most of my friends have no desire to get married and would rather just remain bachelors. Due to my conservative values, I’m obviously much more inclined to exclusivity, but the dating scene is quite abysmal for conservatives. I have no desire to date a girl who voted for Obama or holds liberal or feminist viewpoints, so that eliminates a strong majority of young females.
Additionally, I fully intend on signing a pre-nup. I’ve watch divorce ravage a couple of siblings, so I fully intend on protecting my assets. The way I look at it, if the girl intends on spending the rest of her life with me, she should have no problem signing a pre-nup attesting to ti.
It’s very difficult to find a girl who shares the same values as me, as well as the same religion. I’m currently dating a girl of another faith (I’m Catholic, she’s Jewish) and although we hold the same values, politically and morally, the religious disconnect may be too much in the future.

What? You don’t want to date and marry a girl like this one:

You may be a little young to get this joke but the song is from Mel Brooks’ “Blazing Saddles”.
I concur with most of what you have written. I married a bit later in life and I can attest that I could never, ever seriously date a leftist woman. Have met a few good looking ones, but oh, my, gosh. I cannot see how that would ever work.
I encourage both of you to individually and together seek the will of God. Jeremiah 33:3 promises that if you do this God will respond to you.
My father was a Roman Catholic and democrat, my mother a protestant and a republican. They were married for nearly 60 years. Marriage is about love, work and commitment, in sickness and in health........'til death do us part'.
Here is my advice, HawkHogan: I have seen many marriages and the best always have one thing in common - marry a woman who if she were a man would be your best friend.
And before you poo-poo the idea, think it over carefully.
More than one American man has married an Asian woman only to have her leave him because she tired of being treated like a doormat that f*cks.
“so I fully intend on protecting my assets.”
,
And I’m sure the woman you choose wants to protect her assets also or are you planning on marrying a pauper?
Hey Hawk , I feel your pain. The number of young American democrat women out there is astounding. Even if one meets a Conservative female, the religion debate and other key differences may exist. I am Blessed to be with someone who is both Republican and Catholic, but it took a tremendous amount of patience, prayer and humility before I met her. Lot of idiotic democrat women out there, almost to the point of overwhelming me.
“the religious disconnect may be too much in the future”
If you hold to a strong Christian belief it will be...trust me, been there done that and I literally experienced the ‘warring of the soul” that the apostle Paul spoke of concerning fornication and the Christian.
If you have a strong faith or are desirous of one but are fornicating outside of marriage especially with one who is not a Christian, you’ll be ripped to shreds emotionally and spiritually and no amount of intellectual game playing or self justifications will allow you to avoid that inner conflict! Get out now!
