First of all.....Let's straighten out the idea that the Bushmaster .223 operates like a machine gun and I'm one of those who thought so until I did some homework.

More people will be killed in the first ten rounds than the last ten rounds of a magazine.

If the shooter of Gabby Giffords had used a six shot .357 mag she would be dead, the next person shot dead, and Judge Roll still just as dead, plus three others. Then he would have dropped that firearm, grabbed a second and started again.

Ever look at some of those old woodcuts of the Kansas border problems back around the Civil War? Notice that some of the men carry FOUR revolvers? That is 24 shots!
