First of all.....Let's straighten out the idea that the Bushmaster .223 operates like a machine gun and I'm one of those who thought so until I did some homework.

It is a one pull, one bullet gun....just like ye old cowboy six-shooter. (Correct me if I'm wrong).

And please remember, these killers WANT TO KILL......It has little to do with the weapon. The backwards arabs are still using rocks.

SlideFire SSAR15 Stock. 900 rounds per minute. Perfectly legal and you can get ghetto full auto from an AR platform. Local gun range had one on an AR with a 100 round drum magazine. They were running around $150 but price has gone thru the roof lately.

You just have to hold it correctly to get the full auto effect.

Sacajaweau,
“Correct me if I’m wrong” You are wrong. The original six shooter was a single action gun which required the operator to pull back the hammer with his thumb before a shot could be fired with his trigger finger. A semi-automatic (self loading) gun is functionally similar to a modern DAO (double action only) revolver which also fires one shot for each trigger pull. A revolver stores its ammo in a spinning cylinder and a semi-auto typically stores its ammo in a magazine.

It’s no wonder that many people are confused since the mainstream media just cannot seem take 5 minutes on Wikipedia to try understand the difference between full auto machine guns and legal semi-auto guns. If I hear one more talking head imply that machine guns can be easily purchased online with no background check I think my brain will explode.
