NEW YORK – “Storage Wars” may have a real war brewing with one of its stars.

Dave Hester , one of the show’s cast members, has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the show, according to RadarOnline.

In his lawsuit, Hester is claiming the series is fake, and he says when he made complaints to the network about the staged portions of the show he was fired, Radar reported.

My Typo I meant a question mark “He would have to have a federal firearms license right?” It was intended as a question. But yea it’s still stupid and you make a good point.

I was at an auction about 10 years ago where some guns were found and sold on the spot.

The auctioneer or auction house may have had a license OR if they are firearms made before 1893 I think is the date they can be sold in public sale without seller having a firearms license. That is why on Pawn Stars all they buy and sell are old guns. On Cajun Pawn Stars it's obvious the owner does have the federal license. I know on Pawn Stars they have said many times they could not and would not purchase new weapons due to not having a federal firearm license. That's one of the reasons they have the guns checked by experts. A mistake of even a year can be a huge legal problem.

We found Grandpa in one of our units that nobody bid on. Not the body - the ashes. My wife tried for weeks to contact any relatives so that we could return Grandpa (what we called him) but had no success. Sadly, Grandpa’s urn containing Grandpa went in the dumpster when our maintenance guy cleaned the unit out.

Huck Fester. That man is one of the biggest jerks walking the planet. The producers should have seen this lawsuit coming from a mile off. Dave is a low-life, and underhanded as they come.

...point out spelling and grammar errors in a forum like this.

What would you know about a forum "like this", having just signed up? Maybe you're accustomed to hanging out at scum infested places like YouTube, where 90% of the posters can't assemble proper grammar or spelling to save their lives.

Around here, you thank the poster for the spelling tip, and appreciate the fact that you're among a higher quality of Americans.

The pickers were hired by Captain Kirk to buy the right kinds of stuff for one of the rooms in his house. His wife and he both love horses and the room was done in antiques and they had a interior decorator set the room up. It was quite interesting as they said it was the first celebrity they had ever picked for....they both seems like really nice people. The decorator used much of their own horse stuff, but the main articles the pickers found.....Personally I’d love a job like that....its garage sales on a grand scale..

at estate sales, I love the dirty old garage and nasty basements to go through. I use to sell on ebay also. I once picked up an White Castle mug for a buck...It was quite rare and what I though I’d get 20 bucks for went for 300 dollars. I want to find a whole case of them....withiin 24 hours of listing it was at 100 dollars. I couldn’t believe it, but the final 300 dollars ended up in my bank...

Watched it a few times. Stupid and over produced. Anyone that leaves their crap to be taken for not paying their storage bills aren’t really going to have anything of value.

Looking at court records, she has a 5 year old DUI.

Not something to be proud of, but not like she was a career criminal. At least she didn’t hurt anyone.

Even if she was a stripper, she isn’t doing that now.

One of the best cistern digs in our city we barely missed out. There was a rush among bottle collectors to locate the cistern for the first tavern in the city. Someone beat us there by maybe a day or two we picked up some nice bottles they left though. Even old Coca Cola bottles have value> The old amber bottles are getting hard to find and there were also a few white ones before the green ones. The Christmas Coke as it's called the green colored embossed letters with patent December 25 1923. But what's more valuable now is the old wooden Coke Bottle Crates. Believe it or not I found a blue quart Mason Jar Patent I think Nov 15, 1858 laying off the side of an old rock road.

I used to spend time in areas TVA had isolated and the land went to public use when TVA bought the owners out. 40 years later with all the houses gone you could still tell where they stood even if the foundation wasn't there. In the spring the flowers gave the location away LOL. Then it was a simply a matter of figuring out where the people threw their trash at. Look for screw top medicine bottles {likely prohibition era as the medicines were high in alcohol content LOL} then look deeper for the more older ones near by.

Biggest mistake we ever made was not getting an old hand gas pump. Once we decided to go ahead and get it next time we went there it was gone. The globe was even still intact. Likely most valuable find though was a grist mill stone.

Number 13 mason Jars used to be hard to find in the south. Seems shine makers didn't like them too well LOL. If you think you have an old cork top bottle there are several ways to tell. First is the top itself. Older cork top bottles were made in two pieces the top was applied to then and the seam will be off set from the seam going down the bottle. Another clue is if it's clear hold it up to sunlight and see if the bottle has a purple and blue tint. Some of those bottles that have sat out in the sun have a real unique coloring to them.

The only show I record is American Restoration, and it occasionally tries to over play dramatics but its really hard to pull that off.

All those auction shows and quite a few others all have the same scriptwriters or directors I swear, and that a-hole makes me puke, so I stopped even trying to record them.

A lot of bad editing too. Last night I watched an episode in which they opened the door to a locker about to be put up for auction. Against the wall of the locker were a couple of cardboard boxes neatly stacked. Then they cut away to Dave hester for a couple of seconds. Then cut back to the locker which now showed those same boxes knocked over, ripped and partly crushed.

” But the newer shows have them bringing in “experts” for practically everything. The shows moves much more slowly.”

I have a buddy who’s an expert in antique toilet seats. Let me give him a call and we’ll see what this thing is worth.

Dont let the start date fool you. I have been reading this forum since KKKlinton was elected. In that time I dont remember ever seeing anyone thank someone for spelling “tips”, especially during a disagreement. If you can provide an example of such I’d like to see it. Forums “like this” are for informal commentary and discussion so its understood that rules of spelling and grammar are relaxed.
If I was new here I would not appreciate your comment regarding hanging out in “scum infested places”. Is that a good way to welcome someone new to this forum? No, thats a message I would expect to receive from a loud mouth jerk on some low class site. And while on the topic of Noobs, I notice the first thing someone does when losing an argument is to check the person’s sign up date and call them a noob. As if a recent sign in date makes a point less valid. It’s just stupid.
