This looks like a Lab. A Golden would not be so easily entertained. A Golden would demand an owner to throw the ball. Cute, nonetheless.

Love it. I was going to buy one of those last year, but for some reason it didn’t happen. Perhaps, in the spring I’ll do it.

That was great. Maybe dad ought to throw a few extra tennis balls into the machine when the dog isn’t looking ... that’d keep him busy for a while :-)

I think I need one for my lab it would save my shoulder.

Hopefully that thing has a timer on it...the dog would just about kill himself chasing balls for hours.

I just needed to see that today!
Our own lab would love this if she were a bit younger! Darn it when doggies get arthritis!

Hopefully that thing has a timer on it...the dog would just about kill himself chasing balls for hours. While you could certainly be right, I'm not entirely sure that's the case. It looked to me like the dog needed to put the ball into the machine for it to get thrown again. Once he tired of playing, he could just stop putting the ball back in.

A Golden would not be so easily entertained. What are you trying to say here. That ball throwing machine would keep me occupied for hours! Looks like a lot of fun for humans as well.
To: SamAdams76
What I’m saying is that a Golden would not accept a mechanical substitute for interaction with his human. He’d get bored after a couple of throws and go find a human.

So S-w-e-e-t! Lab seems to tell the machine...*hurry up!*
We have one of these contraptions.....
Problem is, it shoots the ball a couple of hundred feet...and Winchester is too distracted at the dog park to have it in his line of sight....Takes some adjusting on both parties. :) Have yet to see if it works so well with snowballs.
