Those Blitz cans were crap anyway. The seal never worked, so you couldn’t pour gas without it leaking all over the place, and you would also lose plenty of gas to evaporation if you stored it for any length of time. Also, the design itself was poor, since you could not empty all of the gas out of the can when the nozzle was attached. You’d always be left with a bit of gas sloshing around that couldn’t get to the nozzle.
If I was serious about prepping, I’d be investing in military surplus jerry cans or something like that.

Sorry, Blitz was the manufacturer of the jeep cans too. Gone! (and used ones are going for $75.)

Agreed. I have been replacing mine with metal. Looks like there is a new aftermarket for the plastic ones. Can use them for barter or cash.

My neighbor just bought two of them (his ‘n hers) with extra mags, double strap back packs, a couple of add on parts and 100 rnds for $1,500.

"A swarm of lawsuits hit the company since last March, mostly due to injuries from individuals pouring gas directly onto a lit fire. All but two were thrown out of court for frivolity. Unfortunately, the successful outcomes for the company in the courts did not stop insurance rates from increasing to fiscally unbearable rates." What the media doesn't report is that a lot of litigation has come from the absolutely STUPID and non-functional siphon nozzles required by the government. For several years now, big sellers at flea markets and garage sales have been the old style flex nozzles that some people were smart enough to save when their old cans were trashed.

None of them are cheap. The Eagle UI-50-FS Red Galvanized Steel is $42.36 with Amazon Prime. Click on the picture for the link.
