The White House website contains a section dedicated to letting the peoples voice be heard. Got an idea for a petition? Got enough signatures? The White House promises it will be reviewed and that they will issue a response to it. Should be interesting to see how the White House responds to the thirty plus states who have garnered enough signatures to secede from the United States.
Can I ask you a quick question? Who thinks its a good idea to put your name on a petition secede from the United States of America and give it to President Obama? Glenn said on radio this morning.
According to TheBlaze, over thirty states have petitions for secession submitted to White House with over one thousand signatures each. The Texas petition alone has over 40,000. According to WhiteHouse.gov, petitions with over 25,000 signatures are supposed to receive the attention of the President.
So after the election, what did people start doing? In 27 states, people started to ask for a peaceful secession from the United States of America. Now how do you think thats going to work out? Glenn wondered. Youre putting your name on a list that goes directly to the White House and youre putting your name on a list and say Yep, I believe we should secede. I believe there should be a civil war. Thats really smart.
It says peacefully in it, Glenn. Really, isnt it just to make a statement, Stu said.
Yes, it is. Do you think these people dont forget who made a statement to them? Are you out of your mind.

These are not serious petitions. And they’re not petitions by the states named.
States can’t secede, but companies sure can (and are).
Beck’s a piece of work, ain’t he? He says take a stand, then says don’t sign the petition.
He exposes Marxist in the Obama administration, then says this has nothing to do with R or D or even L or R.
He celebrates Jim DeMint and Sarah Palin and Allen West, and then says there’s nothing good in the GOP.
I can’t get a bead on that boy. Makes some good points. Problem is, he counters them a minute later.....
Techinically you are correct of course. To me, they are an effective use of free speech. They add to the discussion. They make a point.
Who is making them then?
Free speech first class. It just goes to show that if they were serious then over half wants out.
Exactly, it is stupid to go to whitehouse.gov and beg them for permission to secede. Give BO your name and contact info, why dontcha? The various states must act. Tonight on Hannity, Daniel Miller of the Texas Nationalist Movement is being interviewed.
I'm not in the least concerned about it, (but it is kinda fun, and it makes the lefties go absolutely berserk!)
Yes, states can secede, just as the colonists seceded from Britain.
not sure I understood that post....
Hey, if they want to start rounding us up I would rather it be while I am in good physical condition than later when sick and starving...
How about a petition to Congress demanding they FORCE Hawaii to show 0bama's ORIGINAL birth records? This could end 0bama's presidency. The bc he presented would be proven to be fraudulent.
These petitions are not meant to send a message to Obama, they are meant to send a message to Congress: HOLD FAST.
Beck is an attention whore.
You know it’s bad when both California and New York, ostensibly, ideological soulmates of Obamanation, want to vamoose also. LOL...
It would have to be a violent and unsanctioned secession. See Texas v. White
I used to hear his radio show once in a while before he was on TV. He came across as a real bad-boy, a sullen wise-acre. Then when I saw him on TV, he seemed completely different! Mr. straight-arrow all of a sudden. He even sounded different! The weird thing is that when I heard him on the radio again, doing his old shtick, he seemed the same as he used to be.
So, yeah ...
You are exactly right about Beck.
