I just got a call (in Los Angeles, from a Los Angeles number) for my wife. I told the caller that she's unavailable now, can I take a message. He said he's looking for volunteers to work an Obama phone bank.
Perhaps I shouldn't have hung up on the guy... perhaps I should have signed up and taken the opportunity to call a bunch of people and tell them why they should vote for Romney.
I wonder why they need Obama phone bank people... in Los Angeles of all places.
Sorry Barry. I’ll be taking down my Christmas lights so I can put some new ones up for this year.
You would be given a list of names to make calls to other parts of the country.
Shhhh. It's a secret.
California is in play.
Same reason you haven’t seen any obama bumper stickers. “They just aren’t into him.”
If only.
Go to where the most of your supporters are for phone bank man power. Long distance is a thing of the past for the 48 states. Some include all 50. I have yet to see a plan that covers all 57 of them.
I did some work at a non profit (dont worry my work was for profit) and over heard that the democrats where offering 9 an hour to phone bank for 3 hours a day. Oh joy. Can hardly pay bus fair and the parking ramp charged me 10 bucks for 2 hours parking.
I should have taken the gig.
“Dear Ms. Weinstein, I’m calling from the Obama campaign. I want to remind you, in all confidence, that this is our last chance to see Sharia law enacted in this country...”
This is a great illustration of the enthusiasm gap. 0bama has to pay phone bankers, “volunteers” to go door to door, Romney’s phone bankers and door-to-door campaigners are truly volunteering.
The poor, lying, Moslem, homosexual Communist just can't catch a break.
The calls can be made to anywhere in the US. The Romney campaign has a phone bank from home program. From what I've heard about it the list of numbers you are given to call is from all over the US.
I drove all around the San Fernando Valley, today (northern LA county) and didn’t see ONE Obama bumper sticker. I was amazed by that. Only as I approached home, near the local University, did I see one.
I think this is telling. People are afraid to have Romney/Ryan stickers on their cars out here, for fear of being shunned by the community and co-workers in a liberal area of California.
The fact that NO ONE is sporting BO stickers in 2012 is a ‘dog whistle,’ I guess they call it.
NO MORE multi-trillion deficits, a fiscal war on children.
lol
I see very few of them here in the Hollywood/Beverly Hills area... and most of the ones I see are from 4 years ago. It's totally the opposite of what I saw four years ago here.
Can I share another "dog whistle" with you?
When I was out today I was scanning people's faces to get an idea of their mood. Many looked grim. Some looked preoccupied. Few looked happy.
But on a few occasions, our eyes met. And when our eyes met, a look registered on their faces. It was a look of grim satisfaction.
I knew I'd seen that look before. Then I remembered.
February 4, 1997.
The evening of that particular date, I locked eyes with many, many people who gave me that same look.
It was eerie, remembering that.
There is a lot of anger out there. Anger that will be expressed in a Constitutional and orderly manner, in a matter of days and hours.
Hmmm? Were you in Serbia?
