I said a year ago, that by election time the “official” unemployment rate would be below 8.0%. As no president has been reelected with it at 8.0% or above. They would simply fudge the numbers. What I have been paying attention too is the participation rate and the actual number of people employed. These numbers are much harder to fake, and they are still terrible....

The important number that we need to keep in the forefront is how many people were working on Jan 19, 2008, and how many are on payrolls today.

In either case—stimulus or no stimulus—the unemployment rate was supposed to be down to 5.5% by now.
Mitt/Ryan are numbers guys. They will use this , and some hard analysis to show how they are “ cooking the books”

I think with so much working against Romney - it’s going to be hard for him to win. Even though we have an absolutely horrible President like Obama he’ll still will win huge.

It’s always announced on a Friday, always at 8:30AM Eastern, always the first Friday of the month.
The next one will be the Friday(Nov 2) before the election, which is also the first Friday of the month.
