In response to recent articles in mainstream military journals discussing the use of the U.S. Army to quell insurrections on American soil, I offer an alternate vision of the future. Instead of a small town in the South as the flash point, picture instead a score of U.S. cities in the thrall of riots greater than those experienced in Los Angeles in 1965 (Watts), multiple cities in 1968 (MLK assassination), and Los Angeles again in 1992 (Rodney King). New Yorkers can imagine the 1977 blackout looting or the 1991 Crown Heights disturbance. In fact, the proximate spark of the next round of major riots in America could be any from a long list cribbed from our history.
We have seen them all before, and we shall see them all again as history rhymes along regardless of the century or the generation of humankind nominally in control of events. But the next time we are visited by widespread, large-scale urban riots, a dangerous new escalation may be triggered by a fresh vulnerability: Its estimated that the average American home has less than two weeks of food on hand. In poor minority areas, it may be much less. What if a cascading economic crisis, even a temporary one, leads to millions of EBT (electronic benefit transfer) cards flashing nothing but ERROR? This could also be the result of deliberate sabotage by hackers, or other technical system failures. Alternatively, the government might pump endless digits into the cards in a hopeless attempt to outpace future hyperinflation. The government can order the supermarkets to honor the cards, and it can even set price controls, but historys verdict is clear: If suppliers are paid only with worthless scrip or blinking digits, the food will stop.

It sounds like whites (and middle-class blacks) should get out of the big cities — or buy some major guns and ammo. The suburbs will be ready to ‘repel boarders’.
Either you meant “more”, or perhaps “large bore”. Either works for me.
There was another story written in 1912 called “The Scarlett Plague” by Jack London where the collapse started in 2013. It was about a grandfather telling his grandkids of how life was before the collapse and what happened. It took place around the same time as “The Collapse.”

Young and not-so-young whites are now a fixture in the neighborhoodand in many others. The black population of Los Angeles has shrunk from nearly 20 percent of the citys overall population in 1970 to less than 10 percent today.
The population shift has happened in parts of every major city from Oakland to Washington, D.C., including cities that at one time were either exclusively or predominantly black. The latest U.S. Census figures more than confirm that Americas urban racial and ethnic demographics are fast changing.

You go into places like Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana etc, and you will see a substantially growing black population.

Unless things have changed in the past few months, I don't think the military forces will fight the American public. I served for almost 40 years, and not many supported this regime. That includes all races with blacks who felt stupid voting for the won just because of skin color. Believe me, the sniper numbers on our side are in our favor.

There’s a growing wave of crimes committed by people of similar status and background all over the country. When they lose their jobs or have their incomes cut, they’ll explode.
As for poverty, that doesn’t cause crime. Immorality does, and it’s exhibited in all economic classes.
Prophetic article.
States like that have always has large black populations Texas is something like 12.5% black for instance, California has always had a small percentage of blacks, like 6.5% and 7.5% of the population.
People move out of failing states, and to more successful states, but nothing will end LA as the home of unstable populations and rioting.
If I am in my car, sometimes a Jeep Cherokee, sometimes an old Camero, and I encounter a mob, can the mob prevent me from running them down?
Seriously. What prevents the mob from getting creamed? My sense of human worth? It seems to me that Rodnely King could have ran them down.
If it were my life, I'd absolutely run a mob over. Or can a mob be so huge, that even a car is useless?
Going back in LA anyway, many blacks had difficulty getting along with the Jewish biz owners, many of whom owned many of the businesses in south LA in the 60's. Yes there was racism, but many looked for an excuse in Watts circa 1965.
Roll forward to the 92 event, over 20 years ago now, many of the blacks and black gangs once here took advantage of the Rodney King event. At that time, they did not get along with the Koreans and Asian biz owners. For many, not all blacks, it became a great excuse in 92.
For whatever reasons, 45 plus years ago, and up until 20 years ago, the blacks didn't like the Jews, didn't like the Asians, and or whites. Which was evident. In fact, many didn't like each other.
Why much of the black population has left So. CA For points east and south is up for debate and is much speculated about.
I was referring to the LA/Southern CA area. No matter how ya chop it up, So.CA black population going from 20 percent to 9 percent, it really substantial.

BTW, the exodus of blacks moving out of So. CA, to points east and south has been going on for several decades now, during the good times.
It was Reginald Denny who was pulled out of his truck and severely beaten during the Rodney King riots.
I was in LA then-and I remember how the limousine liberals were trying to buy guns to protect themselves-and the fools were incensed that there was a two-week waiting period to buy a gun-even though they were the ones who insisted on gun-buying waiting periods.
