(((((Goodnight to All FRiends, and God Bless)))))
When she is not on a leash, she is a whole different person.
Which brings to mind the notion that captivity (even if it’s not unpleasant) has a bad effect on one’s attitude, while freedom makes one more sociable.....

Every summer, thousands of Good Morning America viewers cast their votes to select The Most Beautiful Place in America. I was delighted when the winner for 2011 was announcedSleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in my home state of Michigan. Admittedly, I didnt expect the winning location to be in my own backyard. It reminded me of the time my wife, Martie, and I visited Niagara Falls. A man nearby watched our tourist behavior and quipped, Aint nothin to it. I see it every day.
How easily we grow accustomed to our surroundings and dulled to things that are familiareven places and experiences that once brought great delight. Although Gods glory is clearly displayed all around us, sometimes the busyness of everyday life blocks our view. We take for granted His amazing work in our lives. We lose the wonder of the cross. We forget the privilege of being His child. We neglect the pleasure of His presence and miss the beauty of His creation.
I love the psalmists declaration: I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works (Ps. 145:5). Lets take time today to meditate on Gods wondrous works and get a fresh glimpse of His glory!
Read: Psalm 145:1-13
A perfect definition of what this past 4 years has been like. :)

Hi Teenie!
I am quite upset.
I have been called to Jury Duty.
Federal District Court.
For a term of TWO WEEKS.
And it’s the last two weeks of December, which means CHRISTMAS.
I honestly can’t afford this, as well as it destroys any attempt to see my family at Christmas time.
I know it is necessary to do my civic duty, but this is AWFUL!
The nights and mornings are quite chilly! I didn’t check last night but on Tuesday at 11pm it was 39* here! Brrrr!
Is there no way to postpone it?
It’s in Ft Lauderdale...22 miles away.
Postponing won’t help. I still can’t afford it.
Hi LTOS
Tell them that you have made travel plans and ask for a postponement until January. You will still have to serve but you could serve at a better time.
Hope all is well with you. Marissa is doing well with both her guitar and violin lessons. The violin is at school so it is not real lessons but she is learning.
I would like to switch her guitar lessons to a late afternoon during the week but so far Saturday is the only time he has open. Guess we will go with that for awhile. Sure wsh you lived closer. ;>}
I sure am going to try.
But they need English-Speaking jurors so desperately that I don’t think they are going to give me an inch.
Imagine looking through your family tree and finding this description of your ancestor: A prostitute, she harbored enemies of the government in her house. When she was confronted by the authorities, she lied about it.
What would you do about her? Hide her story from anyone inquiring about your family? Or spotlight and praise her in the legends of your familys story?
Meet Rahab. If what we read about her in Joshua 2 were all we knew, we might lump her in with all of the other renegades and bad examples in the Bible. But her story doesnt stop there. Matthew 1:5-6 reveals that she was King Davids great-great grandmotherand that she was in the lineage of our Savior, Jesus. And theres more. Hebrews 11:31 names Rahab as a woman of faith who was saved from the fall of Jericho (see Josh. 6:17). And in James 2:25, her works of rescue were given as evidence of her righteous faith.
Gods love is amazing that way. He can take people with a bad reputation, transform their lives, and turn them into examples of His love and forgiveness. If you think youre too bad to be forgiven or if you know someone else who feels that way, read about Rahab and rejoice. If God can turn her into a beacon of righteousness, theres hope for all of us.
Read: Joshua 2:1-14
“Yet, in his darkest hour Jeremiah considered Gods unfailing love and wrote, Through the Lords mercies we are not consumed, because His compassion's fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I hope in Him! (Lam. 3:22-24).
A person may vow to love us forever yet fail to keep that promise, but Gods love remains steadfast and sure. He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you (Deut. 31:6). Thats a love we can trust.
“O Love that wilt not let me go
I rest my weary soul in Thee;
I give Thee back the life I owe,
That in Thine ocean depths its flow
May richer, fuller be. Matheson
Gods love never fails ...”
