An uncovered file documents Cold War-era investigations into an important question: is it safe to drink beer that was exposed to an atomic bomb detonation? And does it taste OK?

Isn’t heavy beer made from heavy water? Coors light is just the remnants coming out the other end after good beer is consumed.
LOL! My Dad used to drink Jenny.
It was the ‘National Beer” for the Adirondacks ;)
An acquired taste to be sure, but better than Old Swill for not a lot more cash...at least it was. Dunno anymore. I’m now 2000 miles from ‘Graceland’ ;)
Beer and blowing up stuff. It don’t get no better than that, Vern.
I haven’t lived in Rochester since around 1973. I live in Central NY State, about 45 minutes east of Syracuse. Don’t know anybody who still drinks it. Every year my Dad looked forward to the Genesee Bock Beer they brewed. I believe they only brewed it once a year, and only during a certain time.
David Allan Coe's "If That Ain't Country"
I've seen the Grand Ol' Opry, and I've met Johnny Cash. If that ain't country, I'll kiss your ass.
Adds a whole new meaning to “its the water and a lot more”
Thanks for the pong, Red Devil! Very cool thread!
PS: forgot to add—you already know that. :-)
Sounds like alcohol abuse to me!
I remember Genny Bock. We had a couple stores in the Tri-Lakes that would carry it. Everyone tried it once ;)
That stuff could eat paint.
Back in the 79s/80s it was by far the most popular up there. I wonder what happened. Probably the PR push for the ‘exotics’. Hell, a guy drank Genny to get drunk, period, not because he liked it! We were REAL MEN! Not these home brew/Sam Adams pussified girly boys! ;)
Why is Coors light like Sex in a canoe?
Their both f**k&^g near water.
Jenny Cream Ale for me..)
Never could drink that. Way too smooth/no bite at all.
But lots of people loved it...at least they used to. Cool can though!
Should have used Old Frothingslosh then they could advertise “the pale stale ale with the mushroom cloud on the bottom.”
Their They're both f**k&^g near water.
Which is infinitely more useful that 99% of the crap they spend money on today.
This is a logical test. Beer was used for thousands of years for our basic drink because it was safer to drink then water
