This post reminds me of the movie “The Jerk” with Steve Martin and you have just received your new phonebook exclaiming that because your name is now listed within that you are now a somebody. Then you receive this robocall and have that all shot to hell believeing that because you were somebody you should have received a personal call.

Linda McMahon in CT made that mistake in her 2010 senatorial race and loss badly. She’s taken a completely different approach this time, however, and is slightly ahead now in polls.
IMO it is a poor use of campaign resources.
