I love my Colt and it runs real well, but my ccw piece IS a Glock.

This S&W .38 Airweight fits easily into a pocket, has no hammer or safety... but carries only 5 rounds. It is my piece of choice for CC because it is so comfortable. It kicks like a mule as one might expect with such a small revolver but I kind of like that.

Yeah those NYC police who needed to empty their nice 9mm glocks into the empire state building shooter, and in the process injured 9 civilians...are sure glad they had their 17 round mags in their plastic guns to make sure the perp was dead...and like I said 9 civilians were injured.

with 7-8 .45ACP shots from my 1911A1 Remington Rand, bone stock made in 1943....would not be needed...if you AIM...one shot is needed and as the average firefight in a defense situation is just a few seconds long...one is not outgunned if he carries the cadillac of handguns...the 1911. I once read that in tests using gelatin to simulate human flesh, 9mm Lugers outperformed 1911’s. Therefore, the 9mm would be more effective should we be invaded by space aliens made of jello.

This confirms my own personal experience. My Springfield Armory I bought last year jammed too often. Had to have my gunsmith work on it.

got my colt 1911 right here in front of me. Got my Glock 21 a few feet away. got my Glock 30 coming in the mail. it should be here by next Thursday along with my Aker flatsider holster. I’ll be carrying that Glock 30 from now on instead of my .357 revolver. Mr yeager is right about Glocks and 1911s as far as I’m concerned. I disagree with him on the 9 mm aspect though. The glock 30 can carry 14 rds of .45 acp and remain conealable and it’s close to the perfect size for fighting with. Sacrificing a couple of rounds to carry a .45 instead of a 9 mm makes sense to me.
