Preface: I have nine 1911s of different flavors(original 1911, 1911A1 Government Colt 1943 to a Colt Defender)and five Glocks (17 ,19 , 21, 23 and 26).

Despite the YouTube author’s complaints about the grip safety (which he curiously says wasn’t intended in Browning’s original design and which I find hard to believe), I find it and the slide safety a value add.

I read a lot of times about NYC and other Urban city cops spraying full mags into wherever (most recent is 16 shots fired with 9 hitting bystanders)....my guess is that they carried Glocks.

Lastly, I go to Adventure Outdoors in Smyrna GA a lot. They have two or three FULL cases of used Police Glocks for sale - why is that if they’re so valued? So the police can get a Gen 4 with a new case and scope rail?
