Just stirring stuff up on a Sunday morning...
I once read that in tests using gelatin to simulate human flesh, 9mm Lugers outperformed 1911’s. Therefore, the 9mm would be more effective should we be invaded by space aliens made of jello.
Well, I like women who carry a pair of 38s.... :)
What, you are going to stop the aliens with bikini-wearing chicks....?
.....oh wait, there’s a gun in that picture, too. Took me a few minutes.
This confirms my own personal experience. My Springfield Armory I bought last year jammed too often. Had to have my gunsmith work on it.

How is this a bad plan?
Well, a 230 grain 45ACP round is twice as big a pill as a 115 grain 9mm bullet. SO I bought TWO Hi-Powers. :)
Agreeeeeeeeeement on that !.......:o)
got my colt 1911 right here in front of me. Got my Glock 21 a few feet away. got my Glock 30 coming in the mail. it should be here by next Thursday along with my Aker flatsider holster. I’ll be carrying that Glock 30 from now on instead of my .357 revolver. Mr yeager is right about Glocks and 1911s as far as I’m concerned. I disagree with him on the 9 mm aspect though. The glock 30 can carry 14 rds of .45 acp and remain conealable and it’s close to the perfect size for fighting with. Sacrificing a couple of rounds to carry a .45 instead of a 9 mm makes sense to me.
Good point
Picture didn’t come through. Is it a 1911? (I don’t know what all these other model numbers mean.)
Absolutely!
Wish I knew who said this:
You show your friend your 1911.
You show your enemy your Glock.
Great looking XDm. I am brand new to handguns and have the XDm compact 3.8” .40. Being new I’m not sure why he has an issue with the grip safety. Is there a different way to hold your gun without the grip?
Whatever you do, DON’T try out an XD 45 Compact ;o)
Two Hi-Powers.....hmmmm. Now ya done and got me thinkin'.
I have that in .357, dao and all. I’m gonna be carrying a Glock 30 in a few days though. I’m just not comfortable with the five round capacity or the inability to hit targets beyond 10 yards. as far as a pocket gun goes though, that little snubby still rules. I actually needed it one day btw. luckily, I didn’t have to fire it because there was three of them and there was just me and my 5 rounds.
Yah, it’s a stainless steel Sprinfield Armory TRP with custom cocobolo grips.
Funny, I see it. Does anyone else not see a photo in my first post?
I’m not a Vet nor ever been in combat, however I have MANY friends who have, the consensus among them would be that Mr. Yeager should do society a favor and put his Glock up his ass and pull the trigger. I’ll keep my all metal Colt, he can have all the plastic crap he wants.
