FULL TITLE: Brutal LAPD arrest caught on video; Department investigating cops seen bodyslamming nurse twice during cell phone traffic stop (VIDEO)
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating two officers who were allegedly caught on surveillance camera slamming a nurse on the ground twice — and then fist bumping afterward — during a recent traffic stop.
The two officers pulled over Michelle Jordan, 34, of Sunland, Aug. 21, for allegedly talking on her cell phone while driving in Tujunga, in northeast Los Angeles, the department said.
Jordan pulled into the parking lot of a Del Taco restaurant and got out of her car to confront the officers, cops said.
The taco joint's surveillance video appears to show the officers, both men, yanking the 5-foot-4 inch registered nurse from the open driver's seat and then slamming her on the ground to cuff her.
The duo then yank Jordan to her feet and bring her to the patrol car, where they pat her down.
Moments later, one of the cops slams the married mom to the ground a second time.

Just an offhanded remark - something that made me ponder.
This is obviously an attractive woman.
In the old days, cops were accused, and frequently guilty of, asking attractive women for their phone numbers, or even directly for sexual favors.
Now apparently they’d rather have violence than sex.
Not sure what this means, other than something HAS changed in our society.

Something has changed with cops. i used to think it was something found in small town or county depts and not in big cities that have well trained forces. Here in NYC the last two police shootings are very troublesome. The Times Sq knife wielder and the Empire State shootings raise concern. I know a great many cops. Between mine and my wife’s family someone has been on the job continuously in NYC since 1951, but too often I hear the statement,”my first obligation is to get home to my family safe every day”. While I understand the mindset, perhaps they shouldn’t have taken this job. Anyway, I think I know what you’re saying.
Any wonder why most cops flip out when someone has a camera?

For some guys, violence is sex, or at least foreplay.

Not so much as it is a forum critical of the excessive use of force against civilians by police. Police have a very difficult job but something like slamming a handcuffed woman to the ground seems fair to criticize.
I don’t think I’d pull over for these bastards until I was sure I was on tape somewhere...preferably multiple angles. Maybe camera hotspots should be identified.
I think the cops pulling people over for cell phone use is an example that they will enforce any law no matter how ridiculous, and with whatever amount of force they want. Yes, I know they don’t make the laws but they never seem to have many qualms about exerting their power. Every single commute I see drivers pulled over being forced to show their papers. I’m sick of it.
Handcuffed over a cell phone? Will be interesting to see if there is more to this story.
I don't think the Founding Fathers would have construed the act of breathing while in the general vicinity of a cop as "resisting arrest".
Nor do I think that the Founding Fathers would have looked favorably on a standing paramilitary army, quartered on the taxpayers' dime (well, OK - millions of dollars).
Nor do I think that the Founding Fathers would have thought that having dozens of these tax leeches in every jurisdiction, being paid in a lot of cases $25, $30, $35, $40, $45, $50 or more an hour was a good expenditure of the taxpayers' money.
Oh, and let's not forget that the Founding Fathers would have taken a dim view of these taxeaters winning the Public Defined-Benefit Pension Lottery, on the back of the taxpayers who don't have such bright job prospects.
