Exhibit A that college football teams do need exhibition games?
In Kent States season opener against Towson, both teams committed stupendously boneheaded acts on the same play. Late in the first half, the Golden Flashes were forced to punt. The ball became live after it grazed the Tigers return man, whereupon Kent State sophomore Andre Parker eagerly scooped up the pigskin inside the Towson 10-yard line
and proceeded to run toward his own end of the field.

Sounds like something Obama would do.
This crap happens when you don’t upgrade your GPS unit.
Kentucky had a 13-7 lead over Clemson with only a minute left in the game, but Clemson was threatening to score. A Kentucky player intercepted the ball at the 5-yard line, but instead of taking a knee to allow his team to run out the clock, he tried to run straight up the middle and fumbled the ball. Clemson recovered, scored a touchdown, and won the game 14-13.
There, all fixed.
Cheers!
Yeah, it was dumb to run the wrong way for 58 yards but way more dumb to tackle the guy.
Maybe there is something to these brain injuries in football.
If you were to judge him by his entire NFL career, he'd probably be in the HOF.
That one gaffe is probably what's keeping him out.
Shades of Jim Marshall.
What’s so funny is that he’s looking back the whole time, clearly he should have seen his own players telling him to turn around, and then once he gets in the endzone, he immediately throws the ball away.
LOL. Recalculating....
I swear it looks like one of his own teammates is trying to set up the wall for him, of course going the wrong way.
Who was the receiver who fumbled the ball?
Hint: He was better known as a quarterback.
I checked the game summary and the last prior score was a 45-yd fumble return by Carl Eller.

I’m hearing from my sources Jerry Jones is on the phone to his agent.
Billy Kilmer? I only know (if that is correct) because of the last post I sent you.
:-)
Actually later in the game, Marshall forced a fumble to seal the victory for the Vikes.
It’s a travesty he’s not in the HoF.
On a muffed punt, isn’t the ball dead? As in, it can’t be advanced after recovery, but it can be run in the wrong direction?
He should be in the Hall. Did a fan die at the Vikings’ game tonight in Houston?
This is what I found:
