Sounds like something Obama would do.
This crap happens when you don’t upgrade your GPS unit.
Yeah, it was dumb to run the wrong way for 58 yards but way more dumb to tackle the guy.
Maybe there is something to these brain injuries in football.
Shades of Jim Marshall.
I’m hearing from my sources Jerry Jones is on the phone to his agent.
On a muffed punt, isn’t the ball dead? As in, it can’t be advanced after recovery, but it can be run in the wrong direction?
Saw this hi-light...and thought about Jim Marshall’s wrong way fumble return many years ago.
Even more funny....the other team had two guys running down the field to tackle the Kent St player...hey he was gonna score a TD for YOUR team
I went to Kent State in the late 80s. I believe the football team won a single game during my entire time at the school.
That a player would run the wrong way and score for the other team is no surprise.
EVEN WORSE: THE OTHER TEAM TACKLED HIM!!!!!
Why not let him take it back for a safety? Just get behind him and make sure he doesn’t turn around. I mean he was only 25 yards from a safety.
There’s a long history of this sort of thing. For many years Roy “Wrongway” Riegels of CalBerkely wrong way run in the 1929 Rose Bowl was considered the most famous..or infamous. At one point in the game , Riegels playing defense, picked up a fumble by a Tech player, got turned around, and began running towards his own goal. He was tackled at the three yard line after finally stopping and realizing his mistake. Cal chose to punt the ball rather than risk a fumble. The punt was blocked for a safety. Cal ended up losing the game to Georgia Tech by one point.
