Palm Springs, California - This stray kitten was stuck in the bumper of a Dodge minivan and survived a 25-mile drive to Palm Springs and an attack by four pit bulls, who mauled the car's bumper. It has been named Fender Lynx.
A pack of pit bulls ripped through the front of a Southern California mans minivan in a stunning display of force that would make Cujo cringe.
So what drove the dogs to such destruction? A kitty stuck in the bumper area, Palm Springs police Sgt. Mike Kovaleff said Tuesday.
The unidentified owner of the Dodge minivan was parked at his home in Banning when he saw the damage to his vehicle Monday morning, according to CBS affiliate KESQ in Palm Springs.

Ive never met a dog I didnt get along with. I've heard that before. I guarantee, my dog would bite you. Chow/German Shepherd mix. Doesn't like anybody but my wife and me. Country dog.

And to what cretin or group of cretins did this pack of killer dogs belong? I believe the owner of the minivan is also the owner of the "crazed pit bulls"... Unless I read that wrong:
He discovered that his vehicle had been significantly damaged by his four pit bull dogs, in an attempt to attack an unknown animal or rodent while his vehicle was parked overnight,' Kovaleff told the station.

Dogs would be toothless and gumming Milk-Bones.

Fender Lynx is a little sweetie! It’s great that it survived all that, but cats are pretty good at survival, thank G-d.

I agree with you. Pit Bulls, like some other breeds, are like loaded guns unless carefully trained. Decades ago, German Shepherds had the same rep. Most often it comes down to the stupid, irresponsible owners. Almost all of the fighting dogs abused by Michael Vick were successfully rehabilitated and adopted into good homes.
As for the kitten, that is one adorable little sweetie....so glad he’s okay.

For future reference: a truck oil filter makes a nice sound suppressor for a .22 rifle ... use hollow point rounds, and subsonic if you can find them. Shovel and shut up ...

More than likely, the kitten was chased by the pits and hid in the car's bumper to escape.
The article states that the vehicle owner's own four pit bulls mauled his car and he had to get a tire replaced, which is when he found the poor kitten cowering in the bumper, probably still terrified out of its little mind.
Not only did it have to endure a terrifying onslaught of growling snarling fangs and claws,it then was subjected to a 25-mile ride in that destroyed bumper.
