A cure for baldness may be available on the market sooner than previously thought after a breakthrough in negotiations between scientists and drugs companies. Scientists at the University of Pennsylvania believe they have discovered the reason for baldness, an enzyme which shuts down hair follicles.

A lot of women who are losing hair do so as part of thyroid problems. This is easy to fix. Hormonal fluctuations—going on birth control pills, coming off them, getting pregnant, giving birth, nursing—can cause hair loss as well. And sudden stresses can do it, too.
I agree with you in a lot of cases. As I stated there are a lot of women who think its hot. I have a very thin hairline and I shave my head almost all the way down. However, there are some women that look at you like you are the hunchback of Notre Dame. Funny, seems like those are the always the ones who have themselves rated a notch or two above where they really are. So the feeling is mutual.
I didn’t say don’t look into it slick, but considering cancer, heart disease, any number of genetically transmitted diseases such as ALS, MS, etc I’d say that your baldness problems are WAY down the list.
For the same reason they buy so many shoes: to annoy other women. It isn't about attracting Mr. Right.
Yeah, such people should just suck it up and get used to not hearing. Gotcha bud.
Thanks trailhkr1.
This treatment is for Androgenic Alopecia. Patrick Stewart does not suffer from this, most common form of hairloss, but rather from the auto-immune condition Alopecia Areata with the rather rare reverse ophiasis pattern. TFG B2 suppression is probably more effective there.
I'm not an amateur here.
Probably true for most women. Most women are more concerned about how the man takes care of himself-stays fit and keeps well groomed.
This is probably one of the biggest contributors to people with thinning hair (even some baldness cases). This is a very common topic on fitness forums and similar magazines. People have no idea how much their being out of shape/eating crappy processed or junk food contributes to their hair loss.
Very common topic, nearly every day men and women will bring up how their hair came back fuller, shinier, stopped falling out abnormally from eating right and working out which takes away stress and helps keep hormones and body chemicals in check
< Diplomacy > I would say your sentiment applies mostly to women that place little emphasis on their own, perhaps less than comely, appearance. < /Diplomacy >
Ears and nose I worry about, but as for the rest of it I finally decided to embrace my inner sasquatch. LOL
Thanks for the info!
Bald is beautiful but hair is beautifuller..:)
Evidently you have never seen me, sir (or madame, as the case may be). Do you seriously suppose that a woman who takes normal pride in her appearance is necessarily so shallow that she insists upon a full head of hair in her man?
What do you say to the millions of lovely and graceful conservative women who think Sean Connery is stunningly handsome? Do you suppose that we are all plain-looking and care nothing for our own appearance?
No, feminine women are attracted to masculinity, and that is more a matter of skull architecture, body form, and manner than head hair. If you are hung up on head hair for men, that’s fine; we all have our tastes. But unfounded insults of millions of conservative women are just—well, they’re childish.
I agree with what you are saying in your post for the most part but what about the less than attractive guy w/o the nice facial bone structure? A man who is a 3/4/10? and with hair would bring him up to say a 5. Face it, the vast majority of men look better with a full head of hair. The super hot guys w/o hair get away with it because their facial bone structure overpowers the loss of hair.
You said it here:
No, feminine women are attracted to masculinity, and that is more a matter of skull architecture, body form, and manner than head hair
But then what are you doing on FR? Shouldn't you have experiments to conduct?
You are very much like a democrat. Only your priorities matter and only things you approve of should be done.
I bet this is on your car.
Hey Teddy Boy - take your crap to The Hair Club for Men where someone gives a flying damn!
Wrote a couple private replies, but thot I would put my experience and recommendation out there.
A couple years ago, my hair dresser found a bald spot on top of my head. Ugh! Wow shock! Initially, I thot it was just over brushing, etc.; however, the spot did not go away with changing the hair style. Not sure if it was stress related or hormonal (did not think it was genetic), but the bald spot it was there...
Of all the health issues I thought I would have to deal with, balding was not one of them—as a girl, teen, and young woman, I had hair that was too thick for some hair styles and accessories.
Anyway, I tried Nioxin shampoo and scalp products and they worked. I gave some to my son who was starting to have thinning hair/spot on top—tho that may have been from his dad who is bald, and it worked for him as well.
Highly recommend Nioxin shampoo :)
