DHT is separate hormone from testosterone, although it is produced 5a reductace acting on testosterone. There are 16 year old boys with Androgenetic Alopecia. The condition is not caused by a lack of testosterone. It is also not caused purely by DHT, otherwise all 16 years old boys would be balding. There are a number of factors including inflammation, dmage to the skin and hair, and genetics in Androgenic/Androgenetic Alopecia. TGF B2 and ProstglandinD2 pathways do play a role. Men in poor shape tend to bald earlier because they are epigenic nightmares. Also high glucose and A1C levels correlate with inflammatory damage to the hair follicles in both Androgenic Alopecia alone, but especially in Androgenic Alopecia in women who have PCOS, where this has been studied.

I'm not an amateur here.

This is probably one of the biggest contributors to people with thinning hair (even some baldness cases). This is a very common topic on fitness forums and similar magazines. People have no idea how much their being out of shape/eating crappy processed or junk food contributes to their hair loss.

Very common topic, nearly every day men and women will bring up how their hair came back fuller, shinier, stopped falling out abnormally from eating right and working out which takes away stress and helps keep hormones and body chemicals in check
