Someone took a large knife to my front passenger tire overnight. My car is parked right off the street. I have several political bumper stickers: a pink elephant, George Washington with a teardrop running down his cheek. Sarah Palin in revolutionary garb. One that says "Our founding fathers would be shooting by now," to name a few. I live in a very liberal area in Montgomery County, outside Philadelphia.
My husband's ticked. We called the policed who'll file a report. Hubby wants me to remove the stickers but I'll be damned if I'm cowing to anyone, especially "tolerant" liberals. If it happens again, I'm not sure what I'll do.

If you’re going to do something as inane as littering your vehicle with political stances at least park it in the light with a video camera trained upon it so we can catch the perps.
Should we go back to painting fish on our chests and hiding in catacombs?

The cretins who behave like this seem to infest a certain political party. Also, beware the keying in the shopping center parking lot. Any anti Obama or God forbid “Palin” sticker will draw them to you like flies on $h*t. It doesn’t fit the behavior of the Tea Party folk or Conservatives who like express their views peacefully and not destroy the property of others. Its not the same on the other side, as shown in our past election history from the 60’s on.
A motion detector connected to a sprinkler system. We’ve done that to discourage animals. Maybe leftist animals will depart if hit with a nice cold shower.
It’s happened quite a bit to me. Had a Gadsden ripped off my Durango and a full sized one pulled from my front porch. We were in the process of moving so no one was home.
Also had a neighbor who really hates right wingers do several things to the Durango, not the least of which was turning a large lag bolt into the sidewall of a front tire.
The perp is a stoner who is angry with me because I told one of his stoner buddies who lived across the street from me that I had kids and would prosecute ...NOT the words I used...if I found him trying to get my kids hooked.
That guy and his wife eventually were so worried I was going to narc them thy moved across the country to Seattle. They stole everything they could from their house on the way out.
Meanwhile the other stoner/union guy vowed to get me.
As I said we were moving and it wasn’t worth going after him. He has met his own hell anyway.
At one point the leftist were we used to live were so far out they wanted to turn the entire street into a commune!
That’s when I stopped putting money into the property, let it go downhill and held on just long enough to get the last of our kids through school.

A while back a Freeper posted about rubbing poison ivy oil on a political sign. I think he also had cameras focused on the sign. It turned out it was the teenage boy next door. The one who he paid to mow his lawn.
Lawn job lost and lots of itching in private places. LOL
By the way, kudos for not backing down, especially in a liberal area.
Some cameras would be nice,,,,, but a motion sensor setting one of these off will scare the poop outa them!
It could be any of my neighbors with the exception of one. In 2010 I put an 5 x 8 banner in my front yard that said “Don’t tell the liberals what comes after a trillion.” I got lots of finger salutes with that one.

What is the purpose of putting decals on the car anyway? It’s not going to make the voters change, that will happen when they read the truth.

I would put MORE stickers on the vehicle.....And wait for them to do it again. Film the incident and hope the idiots have the knife on them when they get popped so it’s a felony.

Speaking as a former Prosecutor, and while it sounds like it may be politically motivated, are you sure? I had the same thing happen in 2004 (my car had Bush stickers, etc.) and we later discovered it was just some idiot teenagers slashing tires.
having said that, what I would suggest (if convenient, etc) is to mount a hidden camera to watch your vehicle. They are pretty inexpensive, small, and can be hooked into your cpu with everything recorded on your hard drive. I’d recommend an external hard drive so it doesn’t fill up your main drive.

I worked at a manufacturing plant employing many blacks during the Obama campaign. There was not one McCain bumper sticker, but the lot was well populated by Obama stickers. We discussed this and everybody I spoke with had independent decided that their car would be damaged if they put a McCain sticker on it. Nothing speaks more loudly about the difference between liberals and conservatives than how they treat each other’s property. I can’t even imagine a conservative damaging somebody else’s property.
The same is true of my front yard. I contribute money, but I’m not going to foolishly “invite” malicious damage.
I did recently “unfriend” a couple from down the block because I couldn’t stand their constant posts homophobes during the Chick-Fil-A debacle. She has since sent me a new friend request, which I have ignored.
I wouldn’t put it past her little troll of a husband from doing this, maybe in anger for the Paul Ryan selection. He knows Obammie is going cablammy.

Put more stickers on your car and hide with a baseball bat in the bushes nearest your car.
