Lost Our Cat Today
Vanity

Posted on 08/12/2012 12:57:52 PM PDT by mkmensinger

I don't do many vsnities, but we lost our cat Orphan today to Cystitis. We had him just a year (he came to us as an adult), but he brought joy to us during his time here. We'll miss him greatly.

My heart and prayers go out to you. I am a dog person myself but I know how it feels to lose a loved one. Took me 5 years to take a chance again, five wasted years. Find another little four legged person to love (preferably at the pound)as soon as you can; don’t waste time, your little fur ball wouldn’t want you to. Remember; all of Gods creatures that are capable of love and affection go to Heaven, and to me a Heaven without dogs and cats would just be hell.

Oh, so sorry!! You’re the second one I know of this week that has lost a young cat.

Little ball of fur

Sleepy kitty

"Mine has been at the vet undergoing tests all weekend... scared to death of what they might tell me tomorrow."

Post a Prayer Thread in the General Chat. I did so and I KNOW FOR CERTAIN that all the prayers that went up to Him were received.

My little (well not so little) one is doing absolutely fabulous now. I'm sure He was probably sitting there wondering "why are all these prayers coming to me for my small creature in which they do not know".

Please, start a prayer thread. These are the small miracles we as man do not see on a daily basis....and they work!

"You did the right thing letting Orphan go. Sometimes it is very diFficult not to be selfish because we want to keep them a little while longer."

Count me as one of those selfish ones. I held onto my Kitty a day or 2 longer than should have been. But I was there with her every minute. I was there when she took her last gasp and died.

I would not trade that moment for anything.

That is the sympathy card I received when I cremated my Kitty. She’s “sitting” here, in front of my computer (her favorite spot)along w/ the sympathy card.

I now have control over my grieving. Our song is Chasing Cars. Sometimes, when I feel the need to grieve for her, I play that song and take her ashes out, along w/ her pic and just cry.

So sorry. We had to make that difficult decision for Homer in 2001, and Duchess in 2008. I still cry when I think of them, and I dream about them.

Too many tissues...too little time.

Now I have to go play our song and cry. Be back in a few....

My Dear Lord, I miss her!

Thanks...I needed that. She would just lay right there w/ me, well on top of me, and just forget the world.

We just got our late cat’s ashes from the vet yesterday.

You have my fresh and deepest sympathy, for it is really difficult to lose a pet to illness, and it is particularly heartbreaking when the pet is very young.

Thank you for this ping, SA&

So sorry for your loss. Trust tho that the Lord God who created them does have a place for them in Heaven, and you will see your precious kitty again.

I know I am so looking forward to all my family and friends, and the dogs, cats, horses that have walked into, and out of my life.

Sorry to hear you had to put your cat to sleep. No matter how long we have them, they always seem to touch us in their own special way.
