AN IRISH BLESSING (Click)

Hi, MEG! Would you please pass this on? Just wanted y’all to know that the Creator has come through *again*! Our elderly neighbor has had several health issues and, additionally, his elderly Yorkie ran off four months ago. He was demoralized and heartbroken. Today, his daughter retrieved the dog from a shelter 50 miles from here. Lotsa coincidences involved. This was precisely the time that he needed some good news! Were bouncing off the walls with gratitude and happiness. Thanks for all those To whom it may concern prayers. Ya just cant underestimate the power of prayer and of love.
Sweet dreams, yall!

Much Trouble
September 21, 2012
A young boy named Riley started a fight with Avery on the school playground after a soccer match. The teacher broke it up, and both boys were sent to the principals office. Later, Avery said, And of course, like always, we both got in trouble. But he shared that he learned a lesson: God is always with us, even if we get in as much trouble as this.
The nation of Israel was in big trouble. Yet the Lord promised the nations new leader: I will not leave you nor forsake you (Josh. 1:5). Joshua was taking over leadership of the Israelites after Moses death, just before they were to enter the Promised Land. Trouble was on the horizon with numerous military campaigns against their enemies coming up (8:3; 9:1-2). Without Gods presence, they couldnt begin to acquire the land.
Joshua had a strong faith in the Lord, as seen when he spied out the land of Canaan (Num. 14:6-9). But God graciously gave him the reminder as he took over the leadership role that he could be courageous because of His presence. He promises the same to His children today (Heb. 13:5-6).
Its a comforting lesson for Gods children of all ages to know: The Lord is always with us. Even when were in as much trouble as this.
Dear Lord, were so thankful to be Your children,
and that Youll never leave us.
Help us to hold on to that promise when
trouble seems to threaten on every side. Amen.
When troubles call on you, call on God.
Read: Joshua 1:1-7

PICTURES LIKE THIS ARE SO HEARTWARMING.
THEY DO PRESENT A IMAGE THAT MAY BE DANGEROUS FOR THOSE TOO TRUSTING OF THEIR DOGS. MOST DOG TRAINERS WILL TELL US TO NEVER LEAVE A DOG ALONE WITH A CHILD, EVEN FOR A FEW MINUTES. Like going into the kitchen to refill our drink/coffee, tea, etc. This is not meant to be criticism. I was badly bitten on the face by my greadparents pitt bull. I was about 4 1/2 It might have killed me if it had been an inch lower. So I am overly conscious of how uninformed I was ... even when I was a young parent and how we are influenced by the things we see and read in the medias. It is food for thought nothing else. I love dogs ... having an 8 pound poodle mix. I am also hyper vigilent about dogs and small children.

When hearing for the first time and taking notice of the scripture saying ‘God did not hear the prayers/requests of those involved in on going sins’, it took me aback. This message is seldom if ever heard from the pulpit. It is clearly stated in a few places. Psalms, Jeremiah, maybe Exodus. Somehow we skim over it without noticing God's Word on this subject.
Sorry I did not look it up this morning. It is there and I have read it. ‘Precept upon precept’ is a Bible study by Kaye Arthur, and is a wonderful Bible study I have been doing for the last 12 years. I recommend “Precept Study” ... Kaye retired in the last year, but her studies are on Christian stations in some areas. We have an on going group in our church that has a leader. We are studying “EZEKIEL” now.

Joshua and Caleb, both were the two men that spied out the land and came back with a positive report for Moses. The rest of the 12 were reporting a fear of the idea, ‘we are as grasshoppers before them’. Joshua was obedient and ‘Caleb walked with God all the days of his his life’. He received a portion of land even though he was not a Jew.
We neglect to notice the obedience and faith in all circumstances the major followers of God possessed. Abraham,Joseph, Daniel,... others, We are to be obedient to the Word/instructions of God.
Be not deceived.
Thank you, for ‘the daily bread’ today.

Most pets can be/are unpredictable. Quite docile one minute, vicious the next. It's up to the owners to watch closely when little ones or even adults are around them.
We read too many stories where all ages are mauled by someones 'pet'!

Thank you so much, KM! We have a preacher friend who apparently thinks that the Creator doesn’t involve Him/Herself in minutiae. Mr. Sg and I have been guided every step of the way by the Creator. It’s a great blessing to recognize this.
Thank you for all that you do!
