I was pulling my hair out Saturday next door in the neighbor's yard as this bleeding heart liberal democratic lawyer tore me apart in front of his 25 year old son and his friends. They could not believe that I was against Obamacare. One 25 year old kid asked me why I would be against something that is "FREE"? I was on the grass rolling around laughing. After I questioned we discovered that he worked and has a car. I asked him if it was okay to take money from him to by my two sons cars, because they do not work [17 and 18]. He said .. "No, if they want a car let them get jobs and work to buy their own!".
Then some girl chimes in and asks why do I fight it. It is going to happen anyway. Quit stressing over it. I had the great pleasure of saying to her, "God forbid! But if three guys were attempting to rape her, would she fight it?" She said, "Of course! That is a stupid question." To which I said, "Why fight it? If it is going to happen any way why fight it and stress over it?"
I did speak with these two for about an hour and I believe that those two started to see the light, but it was hard beating back the 65 year old bleeding heart liberal lawyer with his drunk theatrics. At one point these two 25 year olds stepped off to the side to hear what I was attempting to say calmly while Wayne was ranting like a hateful Democrats do. What an evening!
I would drop him. I’ve done that with a lawyer friend I’ve lived across the street from for 19 years. Besides cutting close ties with in-laws and other family over Obama.
Who does he think pays the salaries of the doctors, nurses, anesthesiologists, receptionists, janitors, and everybody else who works in hospitals and medical offices? Who does he think pays the electric bill? Who pays for all the equipment, medicine, ambulances, and on and on? The kid is 25 years old. Has he thought it through at all?

I have disowned every lib in my life, family included. It has proven to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. Lots less stress and BS all around.
As for those concerned over the family issue, I can only say this. Why must it be YOU that shuts up, sits lilently and doesn’t ‘cause problems’ at family gatherings? Are you happy to have to keep quiet while libs run roughshod over everything you believe in just to keep mom and grandma from having to deal with it?
If you think it’s worth it to you, then so be it. But it just makes the problem worse. If more people said ‘not gonna happen’ the rest of the family would likely not be so cowered either.
Good job! I was at a party yesterday where a guest was a teacher/union member, who graduated in Chicano studies and who proudly said her daughter, a member of the local Democrat Club, was helping to sign up new voters. I knew it was time to leave the party!

Another reply said the best thing to do -— if the liberals are old friends and nice people -— is to play dumb. And the bottom line is, who’s going to pay for it? Taxpayers are already in debt for trillions to China.
What if China called in their debts? Someday they’ll have to. What if China just said, ‘No more loans’? Someday they’ll have to.

The Amish call it “shunning,” when the community cuts ties with the societal offender. It may make the offender reconsider his stance, and it certainly promotes mental health for the others.
No parent whose values have been rejected, spit upon, and generally trashed by a Leftist son or daughter should leave anything to such a wayward child. Why should they inherit the fruits of right living from parents or grandparents whom they have dishonored?
I really became tired of being kicked under the table, or having my leg pinched, by my wife when her brothers and father would start in on conservatives and GOP voters. One time, back in about 2006 or 2007, we were out together at a birthday dinner for her father when the talk turned to GWB and Iraq. First, I tried not to get involved, but when the talk turned ugly in the bar, I simply told my wife I was leaving, with or without her, and walked out without saying a word to any of the others. She met me in the parking lot as I came by the front with the car. It was fun to do!

All I can say to that is, back in 1945 and 1946, we had many, many 25 year olds coming home from the Pacific and Europe who had thought about WAY more than that, who were actually MEN. Times have certainly changed!
I got tired of being in those situations as well. There is nothing to be gained.
I have developed a really ‘elitist’ attitude over this. If I have to sit there and go step by step through details that anyone with common sense could figure out... as if I were talking to a 20,30,70 year old child, well, I AM.we ARE smarter that such idiots.
And that’s something IMO, we should do when it comes to dealing with idiots on the left. Stop pussyfooting and skirting their ‘feelings’. Either hammer them through the philosophical wall or walk away and leave them to their group hug.

I've got neighbors like that and I won't even talk to them. If you had a terrorist next door that could push a button and destroy your country, would you socialize with him? Well you do have that and the button he pushes is in the voting booth. This isn't about politics anymore, it's about the survival of our country. Liberals are our local terrorists trying to destroy us. Treat them as such. Terrorists only have that ONE little fault being terrorists, otherwise they are fine folks. Start using some of your own analogies on yourself before it is too late.
Or a college town in any state. The gray ponytail brigade loves places like that.
It always amazes me that Republicans don’t like the politics demonstrated by democrats but democrats HATE the people who are Republicans.

My mother, sister and brother are VICIOUS libs. Nasty, angry- for example, sister proudly declares Carter is the best president the country has ever seen. Mother exhorts hatred against Republicans for being prochoice. We have cut ties completely- sad to say but hubby and I are much happier. (Also, sister and brother don’t work and believe it is our duty ‘as family’ to send them money as needed- think Cousin Eddie’s family in Vacation.) And yes, too many holidays hubby and I would sit quietly while President Bush was called the most horrible names and Republicans were castigated with vicious lies.
But, no more.

That's because you let yourself be fooled by political terms.
Republicans disagree about things within the confines and limitations of the Bill of Rights. Democrats don't.
Better example - you're with a group of people in a lifeboat. You know that just over the horizon, there is an island, but you have few supplies. The Republicans (given they are conservatives), will all be talking about how to conserve strength, spell each other, and the most efficient course to take to find the island.
The Democrats (and RINOs) are all thinking who needs to die so they can live on the supplies that are available.
You'll remember the day you really "get it" about liberals.
